If you've watched UL play, Edgar has no problem putting his head down and going to the rim, out of control or not. If the play was designed to go the rim, he would have done it...

I think UL is better than UK. UK turns the ball over way too much. UK showed a lot heart by scraping back into that game last night. While UL got the win, I don't think they can be too thrilled about how that went down. Be interesting to see where these two teams will be in late Feb.

You thought he was pleased with his performance? He looked very dejected to me...

 

I'm sure he cared about HIS performance but he has one goal in mind and thats took get the NBA. I don't think he cared much if they win or lose as long as he gets his.

OR can't accept the fact that UK lost to a better team, and this is evident in his multiple shots at UL winning the game. It was a low-percentage shot, obviously. It won the game... Maybe instead of taking shots at UL barely winning the game, he should take a look at why his team lost...

UL was in complete panic mode after giving up seven straight points to UK in about 15 seconds. They clear out for Sosa who throws up a prayer, that is getting bailed out to me. Is UL better? They were yesterday. If these two teams played a seven game series, I wouldn't be so sure.

Actually if you read Rick Bozich's article from today's paper, Sosa was told by Pitino to attack the basket and then dish it out to another, more dependable shooter. He waved off the pick from Will Scott and then pulled up and let it fly. It was a helluva shot, but not what he was supposed to do.

Do you really think Earl and Samardo would play as poorly in seven games? The fact is you got us in a game where two of our top players disappeared and you still lost.

If he Pitino was that "smart" to tell a twenty percent three shooter to heave up a 25'+ prayer then he looks like the greatest coach ever, but I don't think that was the case. Sosa was probaly told to drive, but he didn't see a lane and fired up a bomb.

Fair enough... Hadn't seen any talk about what was supposed to happen on the last play. I can live with it... I could have lived with it even if he missed in that situation. Worst case scenario, we go to overtime.

 

And as RRR said, good luck on Earl and Samardo playing that bad in seven games. UL beat UK without their center, who averages about 16 a game...

They don't play seven games in NCAA basketball, so who cares about a series. Even though I think UofL would easily win it. UofL was/is the better team, and they proved it yesterday. They led the game for over 39 minutes, getting nothing from their top two scorers.

 

I agree with most on here, Sosa's shot was horrible, but he hit it. It should've never came to that. Clark fell asleep and put them in that situation. For the record, on RP's radio show tonight, he said the plan was to let Sosa take the last shot unless he got doubled, then he was to kick it to Scott on the wing.

 

I am really tired of hearing about the lucky shot. You what to talk about luck, look at the 30fter Porter hit, then the pump fake three he hit, along with the three Stevenson hit. I mean come on, that was "luck" too. It's all part of the game, you win or you lose. It's that simple
