THis hiring and firing of coaches this quick is insane. It doesn't work long term anywhere. Sometimes short term it might produce something but it never last long term.

For the hard core Pikeville fans what do you think of this.

 

Hire an outsider with no ties to Kentucky football and let that person start from scratch.

 

I ask this because the current way is not working.

It certainly does seem the program is going in the wrong direction. Does the community come out in force and support the team?

I am sure there are a few people who want that, but I can promise you that the powers that be do not.

I would think their would have to be more to the story than just the on the field stuff. What kind of offense and defense was he running?

 

Offense- mostly double tight-Power I, belly, power, ect...think of Chuke Williams, Matney, or Haywood type offense.

Defense- mostly 4-4 base with cover 3 and man mixed in.

Now that Coach Copley is at Greenup, how is the search going for Pikeville? All has been silent down in the mountains. Anyone care to send some information up North 23?

A few of the boys are currently working out , but they need a head coach put into place so they can pull together as a team.

I don't know anything about this situation at Pikeville. But why should Coach Copley spend time helping a program that has sent him packing?

 

Maybe the person who fired him should be down in the weight room working out the kids. This person is the one that is turning the back to the players.

 

Coach Copley I am sure is a little dispointed in being let go. I know the kids didn't have anything to do with it, but all he would be doing is getting himself involved and caught up.

So you're saying Coach Copley should be in the Pikeville weight room and on their school grounds, even though he's been hired by another school system?

 

I don't think that is a logical approach.

That is a pretty silly statement. A coach that was fired, hired by another school system as coach, should, instead of preparing his new team, spend time working out his old team? Doesnt make sense to me.
