He was let go. Sad situation, he did as well as you could do at my alma mater and you couldn't find a better person to lead the program. Sad day.

Thanks for serving our country . The system as it is lets too many teams get in....When this year's Betsy Layne team makes the playoffs, something is wrong...just make it to where 2 teams make the playoffs from each district...that would help and rotate districts each year as far as opponents.

There is a reason for that...Hillard Howard - One of the best, if not the best coach in the state.....How he has built that program from scratch is remarkable, but shouldn't be surprising considering his other coaching stop. If he hadn't retired, he'd be #1 all time in wins.
