Lexington Catholic 65 Henry Clay 62

Featured Replies

Catholic holds on to win. Horrible free throw shooting by both teams though

Catholic: 16/29

Henry Clay: 6/13

That game got pretty exciting at the end after a mostly boring game. Hats off to Henry Clay to come back from 18 down in the 3rd quarter without Prince Stewart on the court the entire 2nd half.

Nice win LC :thumb:

What happened to Stewart?

I haven't seen Lex Cath this year, how legit are there chances of coming out of the 11th? I have seen Franklin County and Scott County play and they are 2 very tough teams.

What happened to Stewart?

I believe it was an ankle injury.

Fireman, Franklin County is already out of it and Lex. Cath. is very talented so the almost inevitable rematch now with Scott County should be a great game. Scott County only won that game by 6 just a few weeks back.

How many did Sanford wind up with?

Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me, I had no idea, thats why I asked.:thumb: Does Lex Cath have some big guys to compete with Scott County's big guys? I know they have Sanford and he is real good.

With the way Phares has been playing, I'm not sure anyone can really just stop him completely, but Catholic does have some guys to battle with him. Also, if they do meet, I'm sure it's just gonna be run and gun for 32 minutes with both teams running the press the whole game.

Very good ball game. LexCath played near perfect in the 1st qtr. I was so impressed with the way Henry Clay competed. They really battled for 32 minutes. Had Stewart not went down who knows what may have happened. I expected it to be a close game. Sanford had an okay night, but not a huge 1. Botkin played great. He probably had 25 points for LexCath. Anyways, I love high school basketball in March in Ky!!

Nice win LC, i'll be rooting for them to knock off SC.

Both teams have a lot of work left to do before playing each other. Lafayette and Madison Central are both playing well!!

Broken ankle is what they are saying.
