Lindley has been battling a bad knee for the last month and a half. There are some concerns about the health of his knee. He is a lock down corner when healthy.

 

 

Give me Micah and Lindley for another year and we'll see the best UK team many of us have ever seen next year, IMO

I see only Lindley going...Micah needs another year...he improved his quickness and body from his soph to junior year...needs to take next step and become dominant.

 

Crazy game. Both teams dealt with a lot of injury problems over the season and UK had more young guys step up...

Good call there. UK had only one QB tonight...made multiple trips to lockerroom.

Redshirt frosh...Randall Burden is going to be a good one...played very well in the second half.

I'm undecided as to who was worse, the commentators, the officials, or Sieber.

 

We heard about ECU's injuries all game, but nothing about the fact that Locke/Lyons/Cobb being out meant the following:

Top 3 recievers out (5 of 10 receiving TDs out)

2 of top 3 RBs out (10 of 18 rushing TDs for the year)

Starting QB out

Starting return man out

 

Anyone think that Lindlay/Johnson getting banged up may push them to come back?

14-0 in non-conference games the last few years.

Tonight was big because it creates some positive mojo heading into the spring.

Still need to grab a RB in recruiting...may be down to two RB's this spring...

UK still has a ways to go....they have to find a way to crack into the top 4 of the SEC East. They need to knock USC out of the way. The Gamecocks are sputtering but have managed to get past UK. If UK can clear that hurdle then they can start making pilgrimages to the Outback and Capital One games.

Give Brooks credit...when he took over UK was lying in the crib, and he got us to sitting up and crawling, then a little walking...getting a W for the third straight year in a rebuilding year with all the personnel losses...the program has broken into a jog....but more than anything he has changed the culture of the program.

LABS, you are correct on the potential recruits. I spoke with Lanxter, when he was at Alcoa, during a High School Basketball tournament. The Bowl win, really got his attention and sealed the deal, on both he and Cobb attending UK.

They stepped up BIG time and my hats off to the Coaching staff for the adjustments made at the half. Big time win for the program.

I'm shocked by this one. I really didn't think UK had much of a chance with Hartline leading them. He proved me wrong and actually had a nice game. I also just heard Brooks say that Hartline had the flu.

 

IMO - I despite every one of you hartline haters. He is a decent QB, sorta like a young Woodson that had to develop. UK lost a lot on offense last year and had to regroup. So many of you want the instant gratification as last year but it didn't happen. I like Hartline and think he done a decent job, too bad his receivers didn't step up in big/tight games to help him out. Tonight they did to an extent but the D and Sp. Teams is what carried the team.

 

Congrats to UK and the team... so you haters out there please admit Hartline isn't that bad, give him time and he can develop.

After his knee injury in 2006 I think he developed a hitch in his stride, and a loss of a step.

 

He did have some hamstring problems earlier in his career, so it could have been an aggrivation of that or a cramp, but I think it is just his stride now.

I think Davie does a great job.

 

I think he is terrible. Talks like he is drunk.He rambled on alot about everything except the game.

Jenkins was not down on the fumble recovery for a TD. Hand on top of the ball with the knee down on a fumble is not control. Had someone from ECU dove on the ball at that point they would have kept possession. As you could see on the replay, he did not actually scoop the ball and gain control until after he lifted the knee. The review crew got that one right.
