January 3, 200917 yr Worst commentator in the business. I'm not concerned with his ability to get names right or go off on tangents. I like a guy who can break down plays for us. Not a lot of guys are going to notice that ECU doesn't run the inside trap all year and that Lou probably gave the play to Skip which resulted in a TD. He was also quick to point out the bonehead play made by Hartline on the flea-flicker missing the open man running across the middle. The rest that people get excited about is just fluff. He does what he is supposed to do.
January 3, 200917 yr IMO - I despite every one of you hartline haters. He is a decent QB, sorta like a young Woodson that had to develop. . You're 100% right....if you ignore the obvious fact that he has no arm strength and his ball flutters. Other than that.... I will admit he played decently. However, he cannot win in the SEC.

That was a 50/50 call, but I didn't think there was "indisputable" evidence to overturn the call. IMO, the play should have standed as called on the field. Officials got lucky everything worked itself out in the end.

It was more difficult since nobody knocked it out of his hand, he just dropped it. Bottom line is that it should have stood as called on the field.

January 3, 200917 yr I got up and watched the game this morning because I missed it last night. Here are my thoughts: - good comeback for Hartline; not super, but a good, solid game - 1st half defense looked like the late season defense; 2nd half defense looked like the early season defense - worst officiating crew ever; ref standing 6' from the kick returner that touched his knee to the ground and missed it - not once, but twice - huge win for UK to keep their success building instead of having a setback; 7-6 with 3 consecutive bowl wins is so much better than 6-7 and winning 2 of the last 3 - Bob Davie sucks - Chris Johnson's IQ is certainly hovering around the danger zone - Quote of the game (Brooks when asked what he said at halftime...): "I don't think we should repeat that on public television..." Go Cats!
January 3, 200917 yr Listened to the radio call with the game...it was synched up tonight for the first time all year. Not for me. The radio was still a few seconds ahead of the tv broadcast.
