December 27, 200817 yr Just a suggestion for those of you who are interested, but if you can find a local MMA/kickboxing/jiu jitsu gym, you will never find as good of a work out as you can get there. Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu (especially when wearing a gi) will help you burn a ton of calories, plus you are learning how to fight in the process. I do kickboxing and MMA/JKD for 2.5 hours on Tuesdays/Thursdays, and I do circuit training for around an hour to 1.5 hours on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. I also do some open gym sparring/grappling on Fridays/Saturdays for around an hour. I haven't lost a lot of weight, but I have lost a lot of fat that I had before I started doing this. HB20, if you dont mind PM me some info on the mma gym i'd like to start...
December 27, 200817 yr I honestly just need someone to keep me motivated. I'm just a completely unmotivated person when it comes to working out. =/..and Id like to lost about 15 pounds.
December 27, 200817 yr  It's not much difference. I try so hard to put on weight, and it doesn't work. I could eat an entire cake, 3 steaks, and 2 pounds of mashed potatoes tonight, and I'd probably weigh less than I did before I started. BTW, for everyone doing the weight gain, I'm going to be using P90X so I'm hoping it allows me to gain the weight I need. I've always heard muscle weighs more than fat, so we'll see.... If you are wanting to gain weigth P90X is not the way to go. You may get stronger doing it but you aren't going to put on much mass with it.
December 27, 200817 yr BTW, sticky has "BGP Biggest Loser" on lockdown... I just spit beer on my monitor.
December 27, 200817 yr Thats calories that weren't drank! :thumb: Yeah, but it's still beer. I can run tomorrow.
December 27, 200817 yr Im down. Ive been needing the motivation to start working out and getting in shape again. Im 6'2 and in the 270-280 range. Whatever it is its the biggest Ive ever been. When I played Defensive end in college about 3 years ago I was at 235. If I could get down to about 240 and then work from there Id be thrilled. HB20 is right about the MMA workout. I used to go to a gym for a while and it whipped my butt everytime. I was dog tired after every workout.
December 27, 200817 yr What the heck, I'm in. 6'3" and 285lbs. Want to get down below 250, but not certain I can do it in just a few months. So this will be a longer term project for me.

December 27, 200817 yr I am in...as far as weigh ins, I don't have a scale, but I will work on that. I want to lose about 15-20 pounds.
