December 26, 200817 yr I now have a picture of you in my head that looks like Icabod Crane!  It's not much difference. I try so hard to put on weight, and it doesn't work. I could eat an entire cake, 3 steaks, and 2 pounds of mashed potatoes tonight, and I'd probably weigh less than I did before I started. BTW, for everyone doing the weight gain, I'm going to be using P90X so I'm hoping it allows me to gain the weight I need. I've always heard muscle weighs more than fat, so we'll see....
December 26, 200817 yr I am going for 30... And that's how it was in the fraternity. People were getting on each other when they would see them eat bad. It was actually pretty cool. I just wish I could have kept it all off. I am hoping we can get at least 8 contestants who are trying to lose. I don't count UKMustangfan in that group...but will still keep track of that progress. Weight Loss MJAlltheWay24 Hammertime OhYeaYouThink 20/20 Hindsight Weight Gain UKMustangFan panther15z30 Hmmm what if we don't want to lose or gain weight, but just decrease our body fat%. I'd like to drop about 5% of my body fat. I've lost about 15 lbs in the past two weeks, and don't need to lose any more, or I'll start looking small. Don't really need to gain any either, I'm just looking to get cut up again.
December 26, 200817 yr I don't really want to lose any weight but I would like to exchange my developing beer gut for some muscle. Exactly, that's where I'm at. The only place I'm not happy with really is my stomach. I still where a 31 waste, and weigh about 195 so I don't want to lose or gain weight, but that waste is getting soft. I'm not a fan of having a "flabby waste". I'm thinking I'll track my body fat %.

I think I might start tracking that as well. As soon as the next semester starts I'm really gonna start hitting the gym. I'm 6'2", 185 but my stomach and chest are getting soft as well. I I'd like to be a fit 195 with some more muscle and less fat than I have now.
December 26, 200817 yr Because everyones weights are so much different. Some people in the 150's, others right around 200, and some about 250+. Why don't you do it as a ratio as well. Or have people report the # of lbs gained or lost, and then have them take their NEW weight, and divide it by their last or original measurement. Example being if you weighed 235, and dropped to 225, you would take the new weight of 225, and divide it by 235. That would essentially give you a percentage of weight lost. The number in that scenario would show as 0.957, meaning you lost 4.3% of your previous weight total.

In the past year I've weighed as low as 175, and as much as about 207. Right now I'm around 192 or so, and I'm solid muscle wise, but I feel like I'm starting to actually "look my age", bigger, but not as cut. I'm not happy with that so I'm looking to trim some unneeded padding.
December 26, 200817 yr UGH! There's only two words to describe the effect of today's festivities on my ongoing weight loss efforts - MAJOR SETBACK! I feel sooooo guilty. :irked:

December 26, 200817 yr I was in a biggest loser contest once, didn't win, but I did lose 50 pounds during it. That put my total weight loss at the time to 80 pounds. I'm still a pretty big guy, but it's always fun looking at before and after pictures. I really need to start losing again.
