Why would T or X share their gate? It is not like they do not sell out or are near capacity for every home game anyway, that makes no sense.

 

 

Agree with your thinking on this. Sure there are some games out there that the fans would love to see and coaches/players would love to play, but unfortunately the economic realities of funding athletic programs trump that "love". As sticky well knows, Highlands athletics budget is not increasing and they are trying hard to do more with less. While Trinity has some wealthy boosters, I doubt the school is in a financial position to forego economic concerns when it comes to assembling their athletic schedules, particularly if they don't have to.

Colerain will be the best team in Ohio next year. If Spencer Ware does end up there, it will be a triple option attack with a QB that is more than solid in the passing game. If not it's Tabar at QB and Williams and Durham picking up big chunks of yards on the ground. Either way, they are the team to beat in 2009...

 

Is their fullback going to be healthy by next year? I thought that his knee injury was pretty serious.

It makes no sense to try and get a game done with a worthy instate opponent that everyone wants to See?.....YOU make no sense. Trinity goes on the road all the time to play big time competition, and surely they don't get the majority of the game gate all the time. Don't think for a minute that a T and HHS matchup coming off a Championship year for both doesn't peek the interest of high school football fans all across the state......If I'm not mistaken there might also be some revenge factor involved for Trinity.....since HHS beat them in their last head to matchup....Great excuse thought for T if they don't want to face the possibility of losing to little old HHS......We couldn't possibly compete with T!

I doubt that also LN, but I also believe there are some T fans that believe T is much better than they are and that they shouldn't have to concede anything to HHS in order to get a matchup to happen.....admittedly, a HHS and T matchup really doesn't do much for T, as they are supposed to beat little ole' HHS, but a HHS victory would mean much more to the HHS program than to T's......JMO.

Isn't Trinity back on Manual's schedule, too, next year? (I really hope so)

I don't know why Colerain wouldn't just schedule St. X or Trinity if they wanted to play a good Kentucky team. That's a little more on their level IMO.

I have been hearing back and forth on that. He wants a ring but has family at Princeton I heard. The question for us is where is he going after high school.. Tressville or Kellyville or elsewhere? Probably to early to tell.

Highly doubt he goes to UC no matter what happens, and there is a very real chance he'll never even play FB at the next level. He's considered by many a much better prospect in baseball.

 

I know a lot more on this situation than I'm allowed to say, and I'll be suprised if he isn't at Colerain sooner rather than later...
