I've only heard the Trinity matchup as rumor and I somewhat doubt we will keep Central (or Central will keep us) with that schedule.

Colerain is still up in the air, I hear that we are supposed to go there (in 2009) but the hang up might be them returning the trip in 2010! So no contract thus far. Highlands, Fern Creek, Trinity, Colerain(?), Central is the front end of the schedule (tentative) so far. The back half would be Seneca, PRP, St. X, Butler, then Male. By the way, Male is no longer in our district but we decided to keep them on the schedule, Go Figure!

I don't care if Bob Redman wants the series to end, there's no football alumnus on the planet that would let it happen.:lol:

It's not just the cost to the team to travel their, but also the cost to their fans. A game on friday may cost most people 5-10 bucks if you buy something at the concession stand. Now if they're having to drive to Louisville and back in one night, and gas is still around $4.00. That game is now costing someone $25-30 to attend.

Trinity played Cincy St. X last year in Cincy and they returned the trip this season. Trinity has a return game this coming year. The expense to drive up to this game is well worth to see how they run things in Ohio football. The atmoshere at Cincy ST.X reminds you of a small college atmoshere. Their student body is huge for games, and the home side of the stadium was completely sold out and Trinity brought a very large crowd as well. It was the second most exciting game on the schedule.

Congrats to Manual on their ambitious schedule. That is how you improve and get better. Good for them. Hope they do well - that is - all except against the Rocks.

You were wrong in your understanding. Highlands did not pull out of the game to play Ryle a second time. They had agreed to play in 07 and 08. As for the 07 game, the agreement was that if they both didn't get in the Herbie, they would play one another. When both got in, that "satisfied" their 07 game. And of course, they played this year.

Colerain and Highlands never had a two year deal. Bits and pieces of the Herbie explanation are correct. Basically it comes down to scheduling.... Colerain must be careful with their scheduling. With the first two weeks locked down with Herbstriet and Shoot out games, their league schedule I believe only has them with 2-3 home games off the top of my head. Week Three in the 09 season has to be a Home game and Manuel was the only one to step up.
