Yeah me too:thumb:

That would for sure be a way to add some playoff type experience to the regular season.

Lawrence Co only started 2 Sr's on each side of the ball this year. Young kids played hard vs one of the tougher schedules in the state. I think this coming year will be the year the program starts back on the rise. This is the 1st time I've felt that way so we'll see.

Wow, wouldn't that be something.......I love games that add intrigue and excitement in the regular season such as one like that. It makes the post season game that much more exciting. I remember in 2003 we hosted Highlands during the regular season and then we met again at Papa Johns. Ahhhh, good memories. We beat them by 1 in the regular season and by 34 at Papa John's. In 2004 I believe we won the regular season game(even without the forfeit) and then we lost at Papa John's to them by 16. Sad day, I'll never forget watching Brandon Smith(who should've been Mr. Football, not Curtis Pulley) bawling while giving an interview after the game saying that the loss was all his fault. Awful memory, kind of like that one in Pineville a couple of weeks back.:madman::cry:

Unfortunately, Highlands beat Boyle County 21-0 in the regular season and had to forfeit that game. Brandon Smith was a great player. He has been dearly missed since 2004. Highlands defense was as good as any defense in the state that year. I really wish they had beat them Bluebirds that year, a very sad day as you pointed out. Boyle finished that year as the only team ever in the state of Kentucky to go to six straight state championships(of course they won 5 straight). ;)

Bath County is bringing in a AWESOME freshmen class. They are also returning QB Josh Terry and RB Aaron Ashby Boyd. Going to be a very quick team, I am ready for the 09 season already!

You and I both, sir. :thumb:

Who replaces French if Manns doesn't play offence?

CCH: Lots of question marks starting with the coaching staff.

Any one have an update on the CCH coaching situation? I thought I'd heard that Coach Brossart wanted to know his fate prior to tomorrow.

Oh, and the Birds should be pretty decent next year.

I wouldnt say they had the BEST defense, of course I am a little biased though.:sssh: I beleive the actual final, before the forfeit was 15-10 up on Log Mountain, in a game where that little player controversy, cant quite remember what it is:sssh:, saw that player score the only two Highlands TD's of the game, one being a fumble recovery.

And to these little hints at a game next year, I all I can do hearing that, :D. I truly loved the game with Boyle in the playoffs, two very talented teams in a clean game, respectful players and two hostile, but yet still respectful crowds up on their feet all night, doesn't get much better.

The problem for Bath is the two weak classes in front of them. They lose some studs that I'm not sure the freshmen can replace next year.

I never said Highlands had the BEST defense. I was just now thinking about it and Brandon Smith threw 5 int's against Highlands in that State Championship game. That hurts.

Yep, just like that disaster in Pineville 2 weeks ago.:madman::cry:

I really hate watching us lose like that.
