I heard alot about this Ben Carmen kid. He hasn't played since middle school but they swear up and down that this kid would make a HUGE impact if he played. The coaches definitely need to wonder around the hallways to find these kids. For the record, I expect a GREAT running game year with our top two returning backs(Rees Macshara and Chris Cook). :ylsuper:

PurplePride92, can you name at least two recievers that will more than likely start next year?

If I had to guess, I would go with the starting wr's from the jv team by default because they were the ones that came into the games when the 1st string would get a break during blowouts. I know Jared Harrington is one, and I expect him to get time at db next year also. I think Brian Ferrell may have been the other receiver. I also heard from a pretty reliable source that Dre Cox is going to play football next year. If he comes back that will add to our depth at running back or he may be a receiver. Dre was actually the starting running back to start the season in 2007 in the Bowling Green game. He quit the following week and then Rees took over as the starter.

I think Ben Carmen would make a huge impact because from what I hear he is the most athletic kid at the high school right now. Even the basketball coach said that Ben should be playing football. He has a muscular build and is fast from what I have been told. He has a motor that won't quit on the basketball court and is one of the best defenders on the basketball court. There is definitely a spot for him somewhere for him to make an impact at. I think he runs cross country and that may interfere with him playing football.

With Dawson, Cook, Ferrell, and the rest of Sophomores that knocked off Trinity's freshman team last year, to go along with our leading rusher McShara, Grant Aumiller (All State Linemen), Boone Goldsmith at Quarterback, And a very talented undefeated Freshman class this year. We will be alright!

Our freshmen class is talented, but they lost to Mercer 7-0. Just thought I'd put that out there before the Mercer patrol gets upset.

Our freshman class has an intense rivalry with Mercer's freshmen class in football and basketball. I think our freshmen class' rivalry with Mercer is a bigger rivalry than with Danville. Lots of bad blood.

I work with Ben's dad and he says Ben just doesn't much care for football, I think he actually considered quitting basketball a couple of years ago, but hung in there and began seeing results from all his hard work. Let's hope the staff at BC will maybe convince him to suit up, I'll see what I can do about letting his dad know how much we need him. I assume Ben will be a senior next year. I see his name in the newspaper alot concerning cross country, but I guess I never noticed what grade is in.

For St.X lots of positions up for grabs. Not sure what to expect.

I expect St.X to be better next year and win the state title.

I look for Boyle to reload and make it to the finals...I feel that Coach French has this team back in the right direction...:thumb:

And I know I'm a homer but keep an eye open for Danville...

Next years team will have players that are coachable unlike the last two seasons...This may be the quietest Danville team I have been around...Better watch out for the quiet ones...;)

I would comment but I don't think we are allowed to talk about St.X football yet.

I agree, but then again I've thought that also for three out of the past four years.

Adopted Admiral, could you give me a little info on who the Ads have returning and your feelings on their chances next year?

7-3 maybe 8-2. Lost to much firepower to make a serious run at a championship. I'm not sure but I think Cincy St.X has been added to next seasons schedule and maybe another Cincy school. This team will be soilid but not championship caliber.

I will send you a P.M.

Monroe Co. loses 18 seniors, but returns 20 juniors. I look for the Falcons to start a little slow but should be primed for district play and another deep playoff run.

Somerset returns 10 of 11 on Offense and 8 of 11 of Defense based on playoff game starters.

If all of last years first year starters come around, this could potentially be a really nice year for the Jumpers.

But as they say "Potential without effort is a waste"

Jumpers have to come out HUNGRY every week against every opponent for 4 Qtrs.

From what I have seen, if not next year it will not happen for a long time. The senior class & junior class next year are solid, but, the younger classes are questionable.

That sophmore class you speak of only lost one game since they came over to the high school. They lost to East Jessamine as freshman,I was at that game and it's really hard to officate a game with two refs. IMO you will also see the line size increase. This sophomore group should average well over 200, which may be small compared to some, but should be considered larger than normal for Boyle. French will fill the holes no problem.:thumb:
