I think you might consider Pulaski County-They only lose 3 seniors that played. If you remember they almost had Whitley beat late in the 4th quarter @ Whitley. If Pulaski Wins their District they will have homefield advantage in the playoffs this year.

Is the safety back for HHS? I thought he played a heck of a game.

I sure hope he gets the chance. We've been watching him play like that since he was in 3rd grade.:thumb:

What are you guys afraid of. If you truly are the King of the Bluegrass, best in the state,etc, you should be eager to move up. What are you waiting for? We'd love to settle it on the field, not on a pc keyboard.

 

2000 boys from the entire Louisville area or 200-300 boys from Ft. Thomas yeah they should be eager to jump up. Whats amazing is that HHS beat you in this decade. Sometimes T fans go a little :banana:

Yes, they will win three in a row. They have enough talent coming back and they are constantly improving and molding their underclassmen. Of all the teams I played against in HS, no teams players made a bigger leap in physical development from thier sophmore to junior years than HHS players. This hasn't and probably will never change.

You hit the nail on the head. I was just going through some pictures and my son's football pictures were in there. The difference in his soph and jr. pictures is unbelievable.

HHS would have to be the favorite. I have watched both JC and Whitley play and JC will be the stronger of the two next year as of now. Alot of things can happen. JC will be bringing back some great kids, and I think will be more quicker than last years team. I think the new QB may be a decent passer. Breatthitt County and Hazard will not play us this year and our attempts to play Bell County have not worked out.

 

With Bryan Station gone to 6A, I look for JC and HHS to play next year in the playoffs. But again with the guys coming back for HHS, they would have to be the favorites.

Sometimes you have to know when to lay low.

Might as well add the rest of the Jr's to be Sr's next season to your list of favorites. Neil, Moyer, Gugal, Bankamper and Dierig all will contribute in some fashion to the "team's" success next season. Bankamper played on most of the special teams and had a fantastic JV season at RB and LB. Dierig started 5 games on the DL this season for the Birds and was in the rotation gaining valuable experience all season.

 

Good point. Bankemper did show some very nice signs of things to come next year. He has very nice wheels and with hard work in the offseason might develop into a potent RB. I am not familiar with the other Jr's but hope they all work very hard to get better and push for a starting position. If there is one thing I noticed about the Birds, every year they re-load and not just with the household names.

Don't forget about big #69 getting a "full year" of the Dale Mueller Body Sculpting Program"! 'Hoosier" Johnson is goung to be a BEAST!

69, if your 1400 boys can't beat HHS' 400 your coach should be fired on the spot. The Birds do more with less than any team in 4, 5, and 6A period...end of story....

 

Thats what I was going to say. I dont think anyone here is not giving T the credit, because they are a great program. Everyone in the state knows the 3 top tier teams are Highlands, T, and X. Highlands would be crazy to move up another class because they are not a big school. If they were a large 5A school then I would totally agree qwith them moving up, but they are a 3A school playing up already. They do so much with so little and tats why I think they are the best PROGRAM in the state, not the best TEAM. And I live in the suburbs of Louisville, I am no way affiliated with either team.

Highlands will. Along with Central. Maybe even Ft. Campbell or at the least, a rematch b/t them and NewCath. Beechwood will. I'm going to take a wild guess that Trinity will as well, who'd a thunk such a thing?

 

You get the idea----a 3 peat used to mean more. Highlands would probably have won the last two years whether it was the old 3A or new 5A, or in the least, played in the finals. But, if it stays 6 classes, accomplishments like this are not going to mean near as much as they used too
