November 26, 200817 yr Stratego was always my favorite to play as a kid. I would love to have the game again, to show my kids how to play and hopefully they will love it, too. Love it also. I got it, again, a couple of years ago and played it with my son, he did not like it!
November 26, 200817 yr There is a version of Monopoly World on Pogo.com that you can play for free as a guest. It's like 30 turns or something and goes quick. Try it out sometime its fun. I just pillaged the competition on that.

November 26, 200817 yr Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble are probably my favorites. Include chess and backgammon if we're calling them board games, which I guess technically they are. Back in the late 60s/early 70s there was a board game called "Careers" that our family played a lot. For whatever reason, I never did get into the "conquering strategy-type games" like Risk and Stratego, I played them a few times with varying degrees of success, just not my cup of tea. I can remember having Chutes and Ladders and Candyland at a young age; also made sure that I played them with my kids a generation later. And back in the day, I LOVED strat-o-matic baseball.
November 26, 200817 yr I will confess that I still have all of my old Dungeons & Dragons dice, monstermanuals, DM guides, etc. I love Risk and Stratego. When my family gets together, we play a lot of Yahtzee and a game called Milles Bourne. We also play all manner of card games. Of course, on a nightly basis, I play a steady stream of Bug Bingo, Candyland, Chutes & Ladders, Operation, Mr. Mouth, Sorry, Trouble, and the all-time classic annoyance, Hungry Hungry Hippos.
