Favorite Board Game

Featured Replies

Hangman's thread about chess gave me the idea to start this. There is many to choose from. For me, even though I can never finish the entire game, I would say Monopoly. I'm also a mean Scrabble player. What say you?

I love Risk.

The now famous hurricaine winds that took away our electricity reintroduced this family to board games.

We still play scrabbble.....my new/old favorite

Sorry is also fun.

Monopoly tends to last too long though I like it.

I guess this makes me realize how many board games I play. I am a great monopoly player (recognize the value of the most important pieces on the board- ORANGE). I also love Scrabble. And I wish I could play risk more. I am a big fan of trivia pursuit as well.

Stratego was always my favorite to play as a kid. I would love to have the game again, to show my kids how to play and hopefully they will love it, too.

Apples to Apples is a blast with a group of family or friends.

Another great game.

Two years ago my Physics teacher taught me how to play this game. He destroyed me everytime. I was never really good at the game.

With the family it's usually Scrabble. Every now and then we play Monopoly.

With a large gathering of friends we usually play Taboo, middle school style, Girls vs Guys.

My favorite though is Trivial Pursuit.

Trivial Pursuit

Boggle

Upwards - scrabble based game but you can build "upwards" on letters to form new words.

Can't stand Monopoly.

It's a lot of fun if you have the right crowd. I remember playing last Thanksgiving with my family, and my grandma put in a card, which was quite hilarious but I dont think it can be shared on here :thumb:

Risk, Apples to Apples, & Trivia Pursuit are all great times.

Risk is my favorite to play, but I seldom get to. Monopoly would be a close second. And of course, Scrabble and LIFE. Also love me some checkers.

RISK. No others need apply.

At the risk (haha) of revealing my nerdiness, I play Risk with a group of my friends almost every Tuesday. If there's something better than drinking beer and playing a game with some friends... I've yet to be witness to it.
