Georgia 42 Kentucky 38

Featured Replies

Even though we lost, I was happy with everything overall. I was a little worried coming in that Georgia was going to put some sort of whooping on us, but we played well against one of the SEC's premire teams for this year, even with a questionable offense and key players sidelined. It's not a win, but it was not a gut stomping, either. Made 'em sweat it out.

so close.....Things are looking up though.

I'm not a believer in "good losses", but this one comes as close to good as a loss can get.

UK played hard and didn't quit when they were down 14-0 in the first. Nice all around effort today. I was especially pleased with our offense, we were able to put up 38 on UGA, that's a huge accomplishment.

The secondary was terrible. They got torched on the deep ball all day. Poor tackling on some short stuff also that turned into huge gains for UGA. Not taking advantage of a few nice opportunities on turnovers killed us also.

Cobb played great today. He made a few mistakes as all Freshman QB's do. I was impressed with his effort today.

This was the only game I could go to this season, and it was a great time. A win would have made it better, but the weather, fans, atmosphere and enthusiasm was outstanding! :thumb:

Great game! :thumb:

We were playing field hockey down at UofL today, and stopped in to Bearno's Pizza after the game. Bearno's in ON UofL's campus. I was worried it would be full of Card Fans, but it only had UK fans there. Plus one happy girl who went to UGA. I can't believe no card fans watching their game on several TV, regrdless whether it was a blowout or not.

Tough loss for the Cats. It was a great game and one that proves again the Cats can play in the SEC!

Agree,as I was there too.:thumb:

I got to go to this one. First game I've been able to attend this year.

Great game. I saw something at the end of the game that really ticked me off though.

A member of the University of Kentucky staff, Rodney Stiles, acted like a child. According to the UK website, Stiles is involved in "Event Management." Right after UGA took a knee on the final play, Stiles came over to the orange pileon in the endzone and kicked it about 10-15 ft. Why? I'm not sure. However, I do know this is not behavior that shows people the real spirit of UK football. I will be contacting Mr. Stiles as well as M. Barnhart about this behavior. It was kind of a difficult situation when a 8-9 year old boy sitting in front of you says, "Why did that guy just kick that orange thing?" My quote was, "Buddy, that fella has a bad temper and I don't want you to worry about it."

Awesome, awesome effort Cats, you surprised me today.....I am proud of the effort, and that says a lot....Cobb made some great plays..

The D allowed too many big gain plays today. I'm taking 25 and 30 yard gains.

Lindley getting hurt cost them the game (besides not scoring after the 2 turnovers up 3). 190 yds receiving by the guy he would have been locked up with. The long pass late was a back breaker!

Mossaquoi is a beast.....Lindlay is world class, but so is the latter. Great game Cats, don't sweat this loss. You proved you belong.

That says a lot coming from you RP. Now, UK football fans are disappointed with a loss to a quality team like UGA or earlier against Bama. So many young kids on this team, they will be even better next season.

It was a great game and I hope this loss fires the Cats up the next 2 weeks.

UK has gotten lucky some earlier in the year in pass defense I thought. There were several games guys have been open but the QB couldn't connect the South Carolina game comes to mind a lot. I worried about that then when Lindley went down I was really worried. Mossaquoi is a beast. There are a lot of really good WR's in college football this year!
