Cobb played his heart out, but it wasn't enough.

Is it me or has Joker's playcalling gotten real conservtive since he was named the head coach-in-waiting?

That one stings a little bit. Thats was a great play by the guy on the DL for Georgia.

Tough loss for the Cats.

It was awful that Cobb threw that INT, but truth be told, he shouldn't even have had the opportunity. I did not see the Georgia player touch Cobb's facemask on that 4th Down play. The refs gave UK a break, Cobb simply returned it. I felt the real mistake came on 3rd and 2 when Cobb could have ran for the first down. He nearly got that pass picked as well.

 

Great game, but UK should have made something happen on those two drives following Georgia turnovers. That was where the game was lost.

No excuse for the Cats. They outplayed UGA today and still managed to lose. There was some questionable play calling by Joker, a bad decision by Cobb, and the defense couldn't stop the passing game. This game will cost the university a few hundred thousand dollars as we're destined for the Music City Bowl again instead of the Outback or Peach.

Bottom line is UK's program is legit! They are supposed to be rebuilding and just took the preseason #1 down to the wire with Freshman QB, top RB out, top WR out and NFL DB out! I thought they had their chance when they were up 3 and got the two turnovers but got zero points. Their pass defense is BAD! This is the offense UK should have been running all year long and they can beat anybody from here on out!

That's a heartbreaker. Gotta feel bad for Cobb, but without him they aren't in position to win that game.

Great game to watch, I just wish that the Cats could have pulled this one out. Tough loss, hopefully they can rebound and get Vandy next week.

He didn't touch Cobb's face mask; the defender grasped the helmet opening under the ear pad and twisted his head around.

 

That's still a face mask foul.

He had a hand full of UK helmet, it's still a penalty. Cobb made a mistake at the end.. There was no play there. IMO UK should have ran an option or quarter back keeper and ran it in. UGA was yet to stop it. Very proud of Cobb though.

While Kentucky football has taken great strides in recent years, it seems like they always have a handful of these type of conference losses every year. Really good, but not quite good enough.

 

Heck of a game, but an awful ending.
