The Beekeeper
When a player gets a sack is the sack considereda tackle also, like a one for two?
Ram
I look at this as "a sack" is a subdivision of the "tackles" category. Just like "Tackles for loss" is a subdivision of "tackles". To answer your question, yes a sack is considered a tackle. If a player has: 2 sacks 4 tackles for a loss 8 tackles That means he has 8 total tackles and 2 of those 8 were sacks, and 4 of those 8 were for a loss, and 2 of those for a lose were sacks. But, still his total tackles for the game remains 8.
