Guru, this is not meant to question your credibility or anything, but where did you get that information?

I'm hearing otherwise from my sources.

If Highlands has to forfeit all their games that Mitchell played in then they should have to forfeit all regular season games and PLAYOFF games which they more than likely would have lost. Cov Cath and Bell Co. should have a play off and then that winner should play Boyle. Mitchell was the difference in both games and without him, the Bluebirds would have more than likely lost. Bell County fans need to be raising a stink and find out whats going on. Boyle belongs in the state title game but does Highlands????????????????????

This Stinks!

If you're going that route then you can go all the way back to Grant Co who was knocked out of the playoffs in their District. Somewhere a line has to be drawn. This might be the biggest black eye in the History of KY High School Football. It will be interesting to see how things play out. It's unfortunate that a bunch of teenage kids and coaches that spend countless hours away from their families for the kids have to go through this kind of stuff! He is the biggest difference maker for Highlands and even if he dosen't play and Highlands does then nobody wins! If Boyle wins it will be said that it was because Highlands lost their best player. If Highlands wins it's because they made it with an illegal player. If Highlands dosen't get to go then it will be Boyle beat the 3rd best team in 3A if Boyle gets beat by that team then it's because they had to prepare for somebody new! I was REALLY looking forward to this reamatch along with most everybody in the state. I really felt like Boyle was going to unload on the Birds. I hope everything gets straightened out.

Agree with everything you said. I don't think there is a light at the end of this tunnel. I would like your sentence to be true, but I don't think that can happen.

What was the issue with Mitchell? I can't remember?

I can't give up a source by there is no doubt in my mind that my source is bigger than your source. You just gotta trust me on this one.

Ill take your source.

I can't believe the KHSAA would be this stupid. (Yes, now that I'm rational I can.)

Let Mitchell play. He's a part of the team and this throws everybody out of kilter. Stick 1 is absolutely right. From this point forward it's all screwed up. Highlands and Boyle have both had to go through a mind game that is no fault of either school or team but the fault of some overbearing suits who find their principle more important than the kids. Why could this have not waited until after the final if you are going to make Mitchell ineligible. That way if Highlands wins they know they had the best team in AAA. If Boyle wins they know they had the best. Records and court rulings can come after the fact but it wouldn't change the play on the field. Now everyone has been tossed in the air. :madman:

I Agree Hatz

What a miserable day for 2 high school teams (Boyle and HHS) and a black eye for the entire state. This should be a week of anticipation and excitement and now were faced with a state final that is tainted.

Don't know. I am sure if it would everyone in Bell County would know about it. Anyone?
I know nothing.

But I am about 100% Sure Bell County will not be going to the finals this season ,But you have to ask yourself without Mitchell would Highlands have beat Cov Cath? or even Bell County?? I would think NOT.

My opinion Is that the KHSAA Is doing the right thing ,H.H.S knew the risk when they played him this season.

thanks guru...

and the polls are closed ladies and gentleman. i thought i was done with seeing courts fighting over decisions. finally the horrible political garbage commercials are done and now i have to hear about garbage like this. LET THE KIDS PLAY, PLEASE... don't we as americans have bigger things to worry about than who's playing on what highschool football team. i know a bit about the mitchell situation and i think its horrible that a young man has to hear that he has been declared ineligeble just days before the game... the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME at that. why did this just happen now if an appeal was started at the beginning of the season??????

anyone???

But why did it take so long?

The KHSAA is a joke. Congratulations on screwing up what was going to be an exciting week for all these kids from all eight teams. Now the games aren't going to be what's talked about and that's a shame. It's time for the schools to go out and form a new association that has a set of rules that is followed. I'm tired of them making the decision on what is right and wrong based on how they feel that day. This whole mess could have been avoided if the KHSAA would have had the guts to stop this years ago. They opened up a can of worms the first time this happened. As for the Mitchell case the KHSAA own hearing officer ruled in Mike's favor. Why does the KHSAA have hearing officers if they aren't going to follow their rulings.

FYI on Mike' case. I don't know for sure but I believe at the time of the injuction HHS was listed as a defendant. If that's the case does that factor in with the decision to allow Mike to play??

IMO it is too late to have another game between two schools and then the winner play Boyle. It's probably too late to let Bell play also. How fair would it be for the kids at Bell and Boyle to have only 3 days to prepare for a game? I would venture to say it would have to be played on Saturday because of logistics. I don't see the KHSAA pushing back one final to the following week and incurring more exepenses.

This really ticks me off.
