This thread shows just why the Ram faithful back their Rams so full heartedly. When we beat Ashland there was all kinds of excuses made as to why Ashland lost to the Rams. Not a lot of congrats made to the Rams on a good win. And I'm seeing alot of the same here.

GO RAMS

I disagree, there have been tons of congratulations to the Rams. Perhaps you should recount.

I don't think there were excuses as much as saying that one of the starting RB's for Russell would have made a difference. It would have been like Denton w/o Carver or vice versa. Not an excuse IMO, just an observation.

The Big line of Raceland and The "DC EXPRESS" Destroyed Russell. With just the running game. Just think what it would have been if we would have used our total offense. Russell did play pretty good. They should have maybe a couple of games left. Good luck to Russell in the playoffs.

Maybe some of you guy's should take some lesson's from Ram and show a little class!

I really had a lot of respect for the Raceland football program, but the way some of you guy's act is amazing. You have been congradulated on your win and told that Raceland is a very good football team and you still want to degrade everyone and brag how bad you could have beat Russell if you would have played your game.Well, i for one am sick of hearing about it and hope you have your regular quick exit from the playoff's!;)

^ Thank you. Nothing biting here this morning either.

It was a great game between two very good teams. I don't know what else a fan could ask for. Both teams had injuries and that is part of the game, almost every teams has some injuries this time of year. I don't think we can speculate on what could have happened if this player was 100% or if this player played.

It was a great game, and I hope all the games in this series are as close and as fun to watch as this one. And, I think most of them will be. It was a great community event, I saw a lot of Raceland and Russell fans standing and talking to each other all during the game, we all know each other and that makes for a great atmosphere, and a great event.

Both schools raised a lot of money for the Red Cross in our competition, and both schools raised a lot of food for the food drive in that competition. Both communities should be congratulated on that as well. Both the Raceland-Worthington and the Russell-Flatwoods communities are great places with great people. No need in comparing the two, they are both great.

Until next year, I wish Russell good luck in all their games, I hope they have a good playoff run, and do well next season. I hope next years game at Raceland can be another great time, and great game.

Ram is out of this thread, it's time to prognosticate about West Carter and the playoffs.

Good post Ram. I totally agree. And this is also my last post here.

Only 1 thing I would like to know.

What was the total income from the gate? And how much did each school get?

It was a great game to watch. As a neutral fan, as Ram said, you really couldn't ask for anything more. A close game by two pretty evenly matched teams. An absolutely beautiful evening for football. Enough tension between the two to make it interesting. And great fans on both sides with lots of pride and rightfully so. I really had a good time.

And even though I was wearing Belfry red and sitting in the Russell reserved section, I was treated very well by everyone. :D

I expected a long wait to get out of Flatwoods, but I think I waited longer in the Burger King drive through on the way home than I did trying to get out of the stadium. If only Ram had let me sleep on his couch I wouldn't have had to make the long drive home.

:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb: Very well stated Ram, I agree 100% with everything that you have posted.

Congrats to the Rams on another victory. Also, congrats to the Red Devil's on a hard fought game. Niether team has anything to hang their heads about, IMO. I hope that all of these two team's game against one another will be as good as this one seemed to be.
