October 27, 200817 yr I know they always say he doesn't know the offense as well as Mike, but he sure seems to do more when he's in the game.
October 27, 200817 yr I don't care whether he knows the offenses or not. Cobb is here Hartline is here

October 27, 200817 yr I don't fault Brooks for sticking with Hartline. When you pick a starter, you have to give him a chance to play. But, 8 games in and Hartline has shown zero improvement, while Cobb at least gives the offense an added dimension and gives them a chance to move the ball. I think this is the right move at this point, but I don't fault Brooks for waiting to make the move. With UK's defense and two "winnable" games coming up (Mississippi State and Vandy) to get bowl eligible, I think this move had to be made now. UK's defense is good enough to keep them in the game against those teams, IMO, so the difference could be an offense with Cobb that can potentially produce 7-14 more points...that could easily be the difference in a W or L in those games and consequently, the difference in making a bowl or not. But, I understand wanting to stick with Hartline. If he develops and starts producing, then you can use Cobb in other places on the offense and it makes the unit as a whole stronger. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way.
October 27, 200817 yr UK had better win this game.....it's the last "gimme" if there are any in the SEC.
October 27, 200817 yr UK had better win this game.....it's the last "gimme" if there are any in the SEC. I believe UK could go 3-1 in the last 4. At the same time I can see them going 0-4 as well.
October 27, 200817 yr UK had better win this game.....it's the last "gimme" if there are any in the SEC. There are no "gimmes" in the SEC for the UK's of the world. And there are very, very few gimmes for any SEC teams on the road. But, MSU and Vandy are both winnable games for Kentucky. Georgia is not. Tennessee isn't as hopeless as some guys, but it's an uphill struggle for sure. Bottome line, winning against MSU or Vandy is our best shot, and a realistic shot, at getting bowl eligible.

October 27, 200817 yr Now all if you heard ALL of Brooks press conference you know that Cobb will not be playing QB the whole game. Brooks stated that he would be starting the game but Hartline will come in either in the 2nd or 3rd quarters. He didn't state how long each will play but he did emphasize that BOTH will play but Cobb will get the nod for the start. Just thought I'd clarify that
