October 24, 200817 yr Used to love going to F&N Steakhouse in Dayton; sucks that it closed. Mmmmmm ... fried eggplant. :ylsuper: Now it sits vacant - sad part it was going to re-open awhile back - Hosea had purchase the building and was going to have a steak house along with a sports bar. However, the great leadership of the Dayton government continuously went to location and wanting more and more permits to do the work on the building. It was like they (Dayton) had no clue themselves on what permits were really needed. Last word I got was that the developer place a lock on the door and sealed it up. Now it is just a eye sore on Route 8.
October 24, 200817 yr JW what others thoughts were on this. I keep trying to get someone on here to go eat at a place called Zolas. They have the best burger in the tri-state area for like 3 years in a row. What are some other places? My wife and I go there at least twice a week to eat. Love burger night on Wednesday. Burger with any 5 topings, (bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon and cheese) if you want for 5 bucks. Plus you get fries... :thumb:

Has some pretty good food and rather cheap too. The only thing I ever ate there was Liquid bread errrrrrrrrrrr BEER and plenty of it during the early 90's. Billie was great, those were the days. In between classes pounding some cold ones !!!
October 26, 200817 yr There is a place on old RT17 going toward Independence called the Log Cabin. It sets behind Pleasure Isle. Great food, great prices. Ribs fall off the bone with a great sauce. Prices are very good as well. Service is always iffy, but the food and prices will bring you back.

Great breakfast, but the smell of stale beer from the night before is often still hanging around.

October 26, 200817 yr Yeah, Billie was great. Since she passed, it closed for a while and has switched management, but the food is pretty solid. And well the beverages are always good.
October 26, 200817 yr I haven't been to the Log Cabin in a while, but it was good when I went. I'll have to make it down for some ribs.
October 26, 200817 yr Walt's Hitching Post on 17 where they still cook the ribs over an open flame is the place to go for Ribs.
