With the 9th and 10th region being at NKU, what are some good places to eat close by, as Saturday I may be there all day.

 

Barleycorns is right down the street. I've always liked their food.

 

 

For my 30th birthday, I had dessert at the Glass Menagerie and I thought it was pretty awesome. Does anyone remember this place? Is there still a restaurant there?

 

I'm guessing your way over the hill now. :jump: j/k. Glass Menageria has been gone for years. Willie's now resides at that location.

I do like Barleycorns, they have a solid menu and from my one experience at Hofbrau it was also very good.

Yep, but Willies has good food as well. Also a sports bar.

Is that considered Newport ? I don't pay attention when food is on my mind:lol:

 

Mitchell's Fish Market and Hofbrauhaus were good also.

 

 

Yeah thats in Newport and its really really good.

Anybody ever eat at DeFelice (sp?) in Covington? Very pricey but very good!!!

Hong Kong Buffet, it's in the Newport Shopping Center.

Rima's off of Buttermilk. The chocolate pie and fried chicken club sandwich on wheatberry are amazing. Dixie Chili in Newport...nuff said there. Oh, and I second Rio Grande. Great food, great price, fast service.

My girlfriend went to NKU so I was in NKY every other weekend or so and got a chance to eat at a lot of great restaurants.

 

Bar Louie does have great wings, You can't beat dollar burger night either.

 

I used to eat at a Mexican place, I think it was called Rio Grande's. I couldn't tell you where it was at, it was near a grocery store, Remke maybe ? There was a Jersey Mikes and a blockbuster in the area also.

 

It is a great place to eat... I love that place.

Dang, now you've given away our secret place. It is, in fact, in the Remke shopping center in Newport. It doesn't look like much on the outside; but inside is the best Mexican food you could ever ask for and great service. :thumb:

The Rio Bravo by Wal Mart in the Village Green Shopping Center is so much better. Can't beat either though!

Nah, Rio Grande can not be beaten, this side of Tijuana. And you don't have to go way out to the boonies to get it.

BarleyCorn's isn't bad, but it's not the place I'd recommend to people who are from out of town. Cool place though, especially when the patios are open.

 

How about Don Pablo's on the river? I haven't been there in a while. May have to make a trip down there for myself.
