Jack Nicholson in 'A Few Good Men'. Totally awesome speech while in the courtroom.

"You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives...You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a darn (NOT REALLY) what you think you're entitled to!"

Dale Doback: Fantasy league.

Rule #5...You're an idiot--Wedding Crashers

"The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again. Oh, people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come."

--Field of Dreams

"You're five foot nothin', 100 and nothin', and you have nearly a speck of athletic ability. And you hung in there with the best college footbal team in the land for two years. And you're getting a degree from the University of Notre Dame. In this life, you don't have to prove nothin' to nobody but yourself."

--Rudy

"Being perfect is about being able to look your friends in the eye and know that you didn't let them down, because you told them the truth. And that truth is that you did everything that you could. There wasn't one more thing that you could've done. Can you live in that moment, as best you can, with clear eyes and love in your heart? With joy in your heart? If you can do that, gentlemen, then you're perfect."

--Friday Night Lights

"We got no food, no jobs... our PET'S HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!"

"Oh, big gulps huh ? All right ! Well, see ya later."

-Lloyd, Dumb and Dumber

Lloyd: I'll bet you twenty dollars I can get you gambling before the day is out!

Harry: No!

Lloyd: I'll give you three to one odds.

Harry: No.

Lloyd: Five to one.

Harry: No.

Lloyd: Ten to one?

Harry: You're on!

Lloyd: I'm gonna get ya!

Harry: Nu uh!

Lloyd: I don't know how but I'm gonna get ya.

Sorry, but you all missed the best one:

Harry: Just when I thought you couldn't get any dumber, you go and do something like this... ...............and totally redeem yourself!

Runner Up is-

Lloyd: Oh well here, take this extra pair of gloves, my hands are starting to get a little sweaty.

Harry: Extra gloves? You've had extra gloves this whole time?

Lloyd: Uh yea, we are in the Rocky's. Jeez!

Anything from Billy Bob or Charlie Tweeder from Varsity Blues would have to be on the top of the list for me BUT my favorite is......

Billy Bob (looking at Ms. Davis while standing outside her classroom): Ms. Davis, will you go to the prom with me?

"So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, 'Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.' And he says, 'Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.' So I got that goin' for me, which is nice."

"I'd love to kiss ya but I just washed my hair." Bette Davis in "The Cabin in the Cotton" 1932

I got this from sticky's thread. What is yours? Mine would have to be from Billy Madison when they are at the end and they are doing the questions. Billy answers something from the "the puppy who lost his way" and after he answers the guy says....

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

OK. A simple wrong would've done just fine....

This thread has been reincarnated several times and each time I find myself posting from the movie, Tombstone, which in my opinion has some of the best quotes of any movie. I have made a few modifications to conform to BGP rules. :D My apologies for listing so many.

Doc Holliday: Why Ike, whatever do you mean? Maybe poker's just not your game Ike. I know! Let's have a spelling contest!

Doc Holliday: What do you want Wyatt?

Wyatt Earp: Just to live a normal life.

Doc Holliday: There is no normal life, Wyatt, there's just life, ya live it.

Doc Holliday: It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Doc Holliday: I'm your huckleberry...

Billy Clanton: Stephen Foster. "Oh, Susannah", "Camptown Races". Stephen stinking Foster.

Doc Holliday: Ah, yes. Well, this happens to be a nocturne.

Billy Clanton: A which?

Doc Holliday: You know, Frederic freaking Chopin.

Wyatt Earp: What makes a man like Ringo, Doc? What makes him do the things he does?

Doc Holliday: A man like Ringo has got a great big hole, right in the middle of him. He can never kill enough, or steal enough, or inflict enough pain to ever fill it.

Wyatt Earp: What does he need?

Doc Holliday: Revenge.

Wyatt Earp: For what?

Doc Holliday: Bein' born.

Johnny Ringo: My fight's not with you, Holliday.

Doc Holliday: I beg to differ, sir. We started a game we never got to finish. "Play for Blood," remember?

Johnny Ringo: Oh that. I was just foolin' about.

Doc Holliday: I wasn't.

Turkey Creek Jack Johnson: Why you doin' this, Doc?

Doc Holliday: Because Wyatt Earp is my friend.

Turkey Creek Jack Johnson: Friend? Heck, I got lots of friends.

Doc Holliday: ...I don't.

Johnny Ringo: Let's do it.

Doc Holliday: Say when.

Doc Holliday: [to Johnny Ringo, after shooting him in a duel] You're no daisy! You're no daisy at all. Poor soul, you were just too high strung.

Doc Holliday: [after killing Johnny Ringo] It would appear that the strain was more than he could bear.

My favorite Billy Madison quote:

"What day is it?"

"I dunno.... October?"

You better watch it Tiger or some hot shot Jap is gonna flame your.... anybody recall that one?

My favorite Billy Madison quote:

I got a kick out of Steve Buscemi's "People to Kill" list.
