When I first tuned in, after missing the first part because of errands, she was asked two questions in which she did not even answer the question posed, instead going back to a previous question on energy policy.

First thoughts: I don't know how to read this one. Biden won on points going away. Palin didn't drown either, so that makes her the winner in some regard. Biden was long winded at times, but stayed out of trouble and didn't insult Palin. Palin was a bit over the top with the folksy stuff. Palin landed a few good blows and she didn't back down, which I think will read well. She did have a propensity to not answer questions and revert back to more comfortable ground like energy or talking points. Who knows though, the damage may be done with her disastrous interviews. But, I think it's safe to say there was no train wreck tonight, and the McCain campaign is alive and well. Polls will be very interesting.

Correct - she had nowhere to go but up in the estimation of the public. As long as she didn't fall all over herself looking for answers, many would consider it at the least a push, at the most a homerun.

It would be insane to say he won as well.

 

This is republican state of course Palin will get more support on here, 60% of KY put Bush in office as well.. Biden was very solid tonight, and Palin lived up to her rep.

BTW, Obama pronounces Massachusetts like "Massatoosits"...
