I just saw this on tv. Great actor and Philanthropist. My favorite move he did was The Sting.

I agree on all counts. The world is a little darker without him in it.

I am sorry to hear this. Regardless of whether you agreed with his politics (and I usually did), he talked the talk and walked the walk. A true legend, on and off the screen.

I didn't know he was sick. This sucks

This is a crusher for me, personally. Not only did I have great admiration for his body of work ('the Verdict' inspired me), but this man put his money where his mouth is, and was a model of marital fidelity.

The world is lessened today.

What an incredible performance.

"I just hadda show 'em what the game can be when it's great." Sad day....So long,Fast Eddie.

I loved Paul Newman also. He was great as "Fast Eddie" and his Butch Cassidy is a classic. I really hate that he is gone. I was afraid those 50 eggs would cause him problems. (I hope that didnt sound disrespectful) RIP Mr. Newman!

Very sad news; he was a great race car driver, car owner, and actor.

A giant both on and off screen. RIP

If the man says he eat 50 eggs, He'll eat 50 eggs.

"Okay you go first."

"No."

"Why not??!!"

"Because I can't swim."

"Well, heck the fall will kill you."

I loved his stuff with Redford. The beauty of film is that it keeps them with us forever.:thumb:
