From October 11th on...That is when we will see if OU is for real.

Am I missing something, or has OU played no one so far?

How much have you watched OU this year? They dismantled two BCS programs, and in doing so sliced and diced a D that returned almost everyone from a dominant unit in 07. I've seen Georgia, Florida, LSU and Bama so far. None of the four are close to what I have seen from OU and USC. In fact they are all quite a ways away at this point...

UC is not very good IMO.

If USC goes undefeated they will be playing for a title, period.

Which of you SEC fans can look at it objectively and tell me, based upon current evidence, that they would feel like they had beaten the best team if an undefeated USC was not in the title game? You play the best teams, and right now, strength of schedule or not, USC is the best team.

 

I agree that USC looks to be the best team in the country right now but a lot of that has to do with the way the handled Ohio St. Lets see how OSU does the rest of the way. However, if USC goes undefeated even in the PAC-10(which I think everyone agrees is a little down), they deserve to be there.

 

Lets try this. In an 8 team playoff, I'll take Florida, LSU, Georgia, and Auburn and let anyone take any other 4 from any other conference and I like my chances!!(I know this will cause a little debate, LOL)

I agree. It will be nearly impossible to win every game in the SEC and the title game.

You also said that OU wouldn't drop 40 on UC and they proceeded to drop a double nickle on them. I think it's fair to say that the teams from the SEC, USC, and OU haven't played anyone yet. The difference is USC doesn't have a lot of tests left.

 

As far as the original question. One can only hope that OU slips once and a one loss team comes out of the SEC along w/ an unbeaten East Carolina, BYU, South Florida, and possibly Penn St. I want the whole thing to be a jumbled mess at the end of the year

I have not seen 1 second of an OU game this year that's why I asked. My point is that it's way too early to decide this. OU has looked great agaisnt mediocre competition much like the rest of the top teams. 'Bama did look ultra impressive to me against Clemson, though.

OU has, by far, the best offense in the country. The only team they wouldn't hang 40+ on is USC...
