September 14, 200818 yr I turned the game on the radio with 20 seconds to go before the punt. Just unbelievable. I guess they won, that's all that matters, right?
September 14, 200818 yr Well this one was a little better than the game I was at tonight (Auburn 3-Miss St 2). However, jeez, was already worrying about that last play being a replay of LSU when it almost happened.
September 14, 200818 yr Author Kentucky tried every way possible to lose this game. The only bright spot for thsi entire team is the defensive front. Although they didn't get a sack, they stopped the run. The secondary was terrible, and kicking was terrible, outside of the punter. And no surprise, the offense was terrible. Honestly, I don't think Hartline could pass the ball against no defense. Seriously, in the past two games, he has had six passes that were totally off because he didn't realize the play and the receiver cut back. I honestly have no clue what he was thinking. Tony Dixon is the third best back on this team. Play Randall Cobb whenever he is healthy and never let him out. You're being a little too tough on Hartline. He looked much better tonight. Some of those missed passes and missed communication were the fault of the receivers, and not Hartline. There were at leats two occasions tonight where I saw Brooks getting on the receiver for running a wrong route.

Hartline played well, every once in awhile the receives need to help out.
September 14, 200818 yr Author It's about getting a win. If you just want to look good schedule Ohio St. I agree the main thing is the W, but I'd like to hear you take up for Brooks on the stupid decision to kick the FG late in the game.
September 14, 200818 yr Rich Brooks just said on The Big Blue Sports Network that we have to many people playing the receiver position. He mentions making some changes to get a solid rotation. Thoughts?

Also ,I think Brooks should have stepped up and said , I made the wrong call on the fieldgoal attempt.

September 14, 200818 yr Coach Brooks is a better coach than what he showed in the last seconds of the game! He was probably trying to show the kicker that he had full confidence in him. But still...
September 14, 200818 yr I just checked my prediction, and I did have it at 20-14 Cats. Finally after 40 years of doing this I get one pretty close. Great save on the last play, could you imagine the mental picture of the Big Blue folks if the WR scored? Hey he didn't and the Cats are undefeated. We have the Hogs/Dawgs and then the Cats.
September 14, 200818 yr 1. A win is a win - and a win coming after missing 4 FG's is huge 2. Middle Tennessee State is a pretty good football team 3. Everyone complains about Hartline, but he was 28/47, 254 yards, 2 TD's and 0 INT's - how can anyone complain about that? 4. Time to give another kicker a shot 5. UK is still 3-0 and halfway to a bowl game and still has a shot at a national championship 6. Auburn 3 Miss. St. 2 Was that 9 innings or 4 quarters?
September 14, 200818 yr Great game, finish was amazing. Hartline looked good. Middle Tennessee is a good team, they beat Maryland who had Cal down 20 today. Kentucky still has a long way to go, I don't think they can hang with Bama, UF, UGA, and UT this year.
