Well... is it? Or is it not a HUGE NKY issue? If this isn't a NKY issue, then why does NKY have a HUGE arguement on the move?

 

I'm going to have to side on Rocket and the folks in WKY on this one. Westerners have had to travel for years now the extra length, while the great people of Louisville and NKY haven't had much of a drive.

 

I think the people that should be complaining non-stop are our neighbors to the East. I commend them on taking this issue lightly! :thumb:

Why dont we just build a BIG OL' stadium in Etown, or in Hart County to play the games? That seems to be pretty Central to me.

As a Louisville person, I don't have any problem with BG making a bid for the playoffs. In my eyes I like the fact that Louisville is getting some competition for the playoffs because I think it might cause them to step up there game a little in the promotion and events along with the game.

 

If BG provides more than Louisville then they should go there, if not they shouldn't, but I don't think it hurts to make Louisville have to try to have it. Currently if you aren't in tuned to the fact of the games you really wouldn't even know they were going on in the city.

 

I've read a few comments from people comparing Bowling Green and Louisville. Just stop, because you can't, because one is a city and the other is a town. This is an aspect Louisville should "work up" to support their case. Being it is Christmas shopping time maybe offer a discount day at the local malls, or set up travel packages for the distant fans encouraging them to stay over a few more days and other things.

Jeez, what does it take to be a city in your definition? A town to me is like, 10,000 or less. I'm guessing if it's not Louisville or Lexington, to you, it's not a city.

Bowling Green is a city... Isn't Louisville considered a Metropolitan since they are "consolidated" with Jefferson County?

If cities other then Louisville can provide a suitable location for the championship games, then why don’t they just rotate between the various locations? Why not share the wealth so to speak. After all it is the “KENTUCKY High School Athletic Association” Championships not the Louisville High School Athletic Association.

I understand. I know there isn't much love lost for people out in the state when it comes to Louisville. Some deserved, some not.

Louisville can provide a suitable location for every state championship in boys and girls sports. I guess basketball, baseball, et al. will have no problem sharing the wealth with Louisville then right?

 

To that end, can someone please save this thread in the Classic forum so that when it is suggested that we move the Sweet 16 to Louisville's new state of the art arena in 2010 we can monitor the consistency? Thanks in advance.
