Should be a good game.

 

I don't know who will win but I think this will be a great match-up of two great coaches. They will both have their teams ready for the big game.

Boyle pulled off a big win against Henry Clay. Danville hasnt beat that caliber of opponent yet in the season. Boyle comes away with a win 35-14.

Henry Clay is over rated this year they haven't scored more then seven points in both games they have played this year. Then Warren Central has been going down since Whitaker left. Danville has just beat Pulaski Southwestern which is suppose to be the best Southwestern team in the last ten years. Not taking anything away from Boyle but Warren Central is about the caliber of a Russell County and Henry Clay would get beat by Southwestern. You have to remeber Henry Clay gradurated all of their playmakers from last year including a wide reciever who is at the University of Kentucky right now.

But your comparisons/analysis is not entirely correct.

 

First, Henry Clay scored 12 against Bowling Green in their 27-12 loss. That's the same Bowling Green that just played Trinity tough in their 17-0 loss. I agree that Henry Clay is probably over rated for a 6A school but they still have speed and they are still a 6A school. Southwestern is obviously good but the jury is just as out on them. They beat a Class A school (Somerset) by 20 in their opener and Danville dismantled them in the 2nd game. Not exactly a stellar start either.

 

As to the Russell County/Warren Central comparison you are probably right. But the Danville game was a little closer with RC (13 points) and Boyle handled Warren Central much easier (49-13). It's hard to see that they are exactly the same in quality when RC beats a Casey County and WC beats North Hardin in their 2nd week.

 

All that said, it should be a great matchup and the team that takes advantage of their breaks and holds on to the ball will be the likely winner in a close one.

Danville in a close one.

Danville offense looked much better against SW but will need to improve its defense greatly to beat the Rebs. BC defense is very solid and looks like the days of old, but there are some concerns with offense. Very tough call to make and I feel special teams and turnovers will determine the winner. I'll pick a close one...Danville 20 BC 17 Good luck to both teams, this game will not prevent either one from making a title run, but winning this rivalry is always good.

Boyle wins this one 38-14

Danville 28-27.

Boyle's D looks to be solid this year. Can't win if you can't put up points. I think Boyle can score just enough points to pull out the win.

Boyle's passing game is going to need to step it up against Danville! They need to move the ball and keep the Danville play makers on the sidelines. If Boyle shuts down Simon then they should win this game. The Danville QB likes to take shots downfield to keep the defense honest but it's not going to work in this game. Boyle should win this by several touchdown's!

I don't think either team will be able to consistenly stop the other. I am expecting an exciting, offensive game. I'll take Danville 41-38.
