August 30, 200818 yr My right foot has to hit the top step when climbing any flight of stairs, and also the bottom step on the way down. As a result, I pretty much have to memorize how many stairs there are wherver I go. If it's a new set of stairs, I can generally tell when I'm 6 or 8 steps from the top or bottom if it awill be a successful (i.e. right foot hits last) ascent or descent. Because I can tell before I get to the top or bottom, I can make an "in-course correction" if necessary.
August 30, 200818 yr When I was a sophmore in school I had to listen to a certain song before every football game. By the time I was a senior I was sick of the song but had to listen to it still before every game. Felt it threw things off balance if I didn't.
August 30, 200818 yr Have to have some sort of sound playing (TV/Music) when trying to sleep. Even more so now that I suffer from Tinnitus but even before that I had to have music playing. My money in my wallet has to be, starting at the top when holding, from largest bill to smallest, facing the same way. When I get on BGP, I always check out my User CP so I can look at the threads I have posted in & then click 'New Post'. When I surf the net, I always go to the same websites every time (BGP, which is my home page, ESPN, Ticketmaster, CNN & WYMTnews) I'm sure there's many more but I've thought too hard on this subject already. May post more later.
August 30, 200818 yr 1. On a car radio screen the volume numbers HAVE to be even numbers. 2. When I get dressed the left side must go on first(left sock on first, left leg in pants first, left arm in sleeve) 3. I have to brush my teeth exactly 3 times in the morning before going to work. 4. Money must be faced the same way in my billfold in order from $1's up. Just realized I do this one too except with the thermostat in the car and home. Always even numbers except I mix in the odd multiples of 5... Why the heck do we do this silly stuff. After reading it all, isn't it ridiculous.
August 30, 200818 yr OK, here or some of mine. When at work, working on the computer, I must have a pen in my hands as I type. I remember phone numbers by creating equations out of the numbers. I haven't forgotton one yet that way! My money has to face the same way, small bills on top. I cannot handle square objects that are not exactly parallel to the edge of a surface. ie: picture frames cannot be arranged catty-cornered. All my books have to be shelved alphabetically by title. I read so much I never remember author's names, but I always remember the title of the book. I can't stand spills on a counter. If there's a spill, I MUST clean it up right away. This used to cause the baristas with whom I worked at Starbucks many hours of amusement, and they'd spill things just to watch me scurry over to clean it up. :irked:  I straighten store shelves. If I walk down the cereal aisle, I'll actually stop to straighten and pull forward boxes on the shelves. I face all my canned goods on my pantry shelves. Boxes have to be placed where the narrow side of the box is facing outward with the nutrition information showing. Canned green beans to the left, corn in the middle, peas on the right. All "like" items MUST be grouped together. I can't stand a crooked rug. When I walk my dog, my keys and phone go in my right pocket, poop-bags in the left. I have to have a book, magazine or cross-word puzzle in my purse at all times. I have to read when I eat. I correct people's grammar all the time. I blurt it out without even knowing I'm going to. OMG:eek: Would you consider spending a couple of days at my house? I do the grammar thing too. My kids call me the grammar nazi!
August 30, 200818 yr OMG:eek: Would you consider spending a couple of days at my house? I do the grammar thing too. My kids call me the grammar nazi! If you saw my house, you wouldn't think I had so many compulsions. There is always stuff piled on the kitchen table (drives me crazy!), etc. My dog is a bit OCD too. When he eats, if he drops kibble on the floor, he won't go back to the bowl without eating each and every piece off the floor first. He HATES water. He hates it so much that he won't walk through a wet spot on the sidewalk. He won't walk in the radius of a sprinkler. If things are different on the path of one of our walk routes, he won't go. A month or so ago, a tree had fallen on one the streets we walk down frequently. It was crossing the sidewalk, so I tried to go around by going out into the street. He refused. We had to turn around and go back the other way.
August 30, 200818 yr I will not hang my arm over the side of the bed. If I drop an M&M or a piece of popcorn or something, I will actually throw another one on the ground with it so it can have a friend. If you do that with $20 bills let me know if I am ever around you.
August 30, 200818 yr 1.When I am doing the book for the baseball team I have to take and tap the pen on something 2-3 times before each pitch. 2. If the team looses I will not use that pen or pencil again. I throw it away. 3. Before I leave home or work, everything has to be in order on my desk or nightstand. 4. The sound on the TV or audio device has to be on a even number. My son told me that one of his friends washes his money and then blow drys it. I told him to tell his friend that it is illegal to do that. It's money laundering.
August 31, 200818 yr I swear to God, the first time I read that I thought you said "monkey." What? You mean that you dont iron your monkey??
August 31, 200818 yr Reading all of these, I guess I don't have any because I don't do any of the weird things you people do.:lol::lol::lol::lol: I do love the show Monk, though.
August 31, 200818 yr I have a problem with numbers, the number six and thirteen,I try to avoid those numbers if possible.
