I would release Patterson, put Dickerson in CF, put Votto in LF, and give Rosales a chance at 1B for the rest of the year. This is the lineup I would run out there every game. Dickerson CF Keppinger SS Bruce RF Phillips 2B Votto LF E-5 3B Rosales 1B Haningan C No Hairston Jr.?

August 12, 200818 yr Given the current mix of talent and the pitching, it will take 2-3 years to be competitive, unless they make some big moves during the Winter. The Reds are close, to becoming the Pirates. Hope the fans don't fade away. Went and watched the new Brandon Frasier movie on Sunday instead of going to the game with my son. We had a great time and the movie was good. I recommend it highly for the next Reds homestand.:thumb:

Pitchers are afraid of giving up a HR to Dunn, so they pitch around him, he gets on base, and then gives the rest of the offense a chance to drive him, unfortunately that never happened. They also do not want to put the man in front of Dunn on base so they don't give up a 2 run HR, so they give some pitches to hit to the person in front so they get them selves out. Same thing with Manny and Big Papi. Papi got pitches to hit because the pitchers did not want to put him on base for Manny.

But Walt is a better GM. :sssh:

Negative, the people are just shocked because they are used to the Reds dealing and not receving, and it looks worse when you deal icons, but this is the correct move long term.
