Really hope the Reds can get this series with Toronto off on the right foot.

To which one of their two left ones are you referring?:lol::lol:

While its a good sign for the future is anyone else tired of hearing other clubs players and writers trying to figure out how they are this bad? Every team they get done playing says "they're better than their record", and "they have good players". It's time to start playing like it.

I'm not sure they aren't playing to their capability now. The core of this team has been around for a couple of seasons. 7 under .500 is about as good as they are.

The Reds are going to be wearing some special 4th of July uniforms...against the Nats.

Have seen the hats...royal blue with wishbone C, with stars and suck throughout the C.

Not too bad...havent seen the uniforms.

I've heard the uniforms are camouflaged.

Are they really that bad?

If the Reds pull the trigger and make a trade.

Who goes?

Dunn? For who, a big time pitcher? Then who scores the runs, or even gets on base?

Everyone wants JR gone but really who is going to give up something to get him?

I can only see two big names going and they are;

Phillips is a fan favorite and IMO the best player on the team. The Reds would get the most for him.

Bronson. A contender would love to have him.

The Reds should have drafted Gordon Beckham from Georgia.

He just hit his 27th HR of the year in the CWS Finals...

You would have you SS of the future and he would hit for power from the right side.

They may really regret this one.

Teams don't trade big-time pitchers.

No one will give up anything for Griffey. The Reds have no leverage.

I agee. Beckham would have filled a big need. Why draft another LH 1B? When you already have a good one, who may end up being great.

Cincinnati (35-42) has struggled offensively, hitting .207 and scoring 32 runs over the last 12 games. The Reds are 4-8 in that span and at the bottom of the NL Central.

Burnett (6-7, 5.42 ERA) has failed to last more than five innings in three consecutive starts, posting an 11.30 ERA while allowing 22 hits and 12 walks. The right-hander has an 8.16 ERA and .336 opponent batting average in seven appearances at home. He’s 1-3 with a 6.89 ERA in six career starts against the Reds, but has not faced them since 2005 while with Florida.

Arroyo (4-6, 5.55) is 0-2 with a 6.33 ERA in four starts this month, allowing six homers in 21 1-3 innings. The right-hander has given up 16 runs and 33 hits in his last 20 1-3 innings on the road.

Arroyo made all nine of his starts versus the Blue Jays while pitching for Boston in 2004 and 2005, and is 0-3 with a 5.87 ERA in his last four outings against them.

I am interested to see if Adam Dunn does any talking with his bat in this series.

I hear the Reds are in a bidding war for the top Dominican prospect with Oakland and Texas. He is a 6-7 16 year old pitcher. Hope the Reds can land him!

Danny Almonte? :D

Big series for the Reds in Toronto. I'd love to see them take another 2 out of 3 from the Jays and get back near .500.

How about sending Arroyo to the Yankees? They are in desperate need of another pitcher and could handle Arroyo's salary.

I think the Reds are stuck with Griffey Jr. I just wish Dusty Baker had the cahones to move him down to 5th or 6th in the lineup, where he belongs.
