June 13, 200818 yr Author Apparently his family has confirmed it. He returned from vacation in Italy yesterday and was doing production work in DC last night when he collapsed.

I grew up with Tom Brokaw and Russert in my house. My family have been faithful NBC viewers for a long time. The Presidential Election just won't be the same without his trademark marker board. I believe his son just graduated from college a few weeks back as well. My prayers go out to them. RIP Tim.
June 13, 200818 yr There truly was none better. I never miss Meet the Press. What a horrible thing to happen. He was so in love with his father and his son and this being Father's Day weekend just makes it even worse. I was complaining this morning about my feet swelling and my staples in my chest hurting from my open heart surgery. Oh, how blessed I am that I get to complain, Tim never will.:cry::cry:
June 13, 200818 yr He was my favorite political pundit by far. I always taped Meet The Press. I'm shocked and saddened by this news. My thoughts and prayers go to his family especially Big Russ & Luke during this very sad time. :cry:
