Unbelievable. I hate to hear this.

Very, very sad for his family and friends and all of us who enjoyed his insight. May he rest in peace.

Tim Russert was the epitome of what broadcast journalism is supposed to be. "Fair and balanced" wasn't just a promotional slogan with him ... it was his way of conducting business.

You could tell by watching "Meet the Press" that his guests had a genuine affection and respect for him, and it was obvious that they appreciated the way he went about his craft.

His loss is huge loss for journalism ... he may be the most liked and respected journalist of his time.

The Presidential Election just won't be the same without his trademark marker board.

Every time I heard his name, I thought of the marker board.

With his vast knowledge of American politics and his genuine love of country and its people, Russert would have been a great U.S. Senator.

:thumb:Really sad to hear. Tim Russert was a great political analyst and just a good guy.
Russert was one of my favorites. He was a tough interviewer without being a jerk and he was equally tough whether the guest was a liberal, moderate, or conservative. Russert was tough, fair, and likable all at the same time, which is no small feat.

I really enjoyed his work. This is very sad.

Mr. Russert worked as a counselor for Gov. Mario Cuomo and was Chief of Staff, I think, for Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan.

I am in absolute agreement with your analysis.

:thumb: I agree, I rarely compliment any of today's media, but Tim Russert was one that was very fair and it didn't matter who was sitting across from him. I always admired that about him.

Its not going to be the same on the 2nd Tuesday in November without him and his Electoral board.

I really enjoyed reading his book Wisdom Of Our Fathers a couple of years ago. A great family man. My prayers go out to his family.
