What are the other seven going to be doing? Are all of these paid assistants or are they just there to help with whatever is needed.

Bayshore Drive- My guess would be they are trying to run the program like a 4 or 5A school should do. They will have a coach for every position maybe two for some. Then you will have your coach for "O", "D" and special teams. I think this is the way to go when you are looking @ 55 or 60 kids on a team. You can get by with 4 or 5 coaches when you only have 25 or 30 kids.:thumb:

This is not completely football related but where will the school be located?

 

Is it a completely new facility or are they relocating close enough to one of the 3 merged schools (Cumberland, Evarts and Cawood correct?) that they will continue to use some of those facilities?

 

What is going to happen to the old facilities if all new ones are being built?

I agree. I don't know what all the other schools have, but Raceland is a 1A school with 55-60 players, and we have seven full-time paid coaches.

It looks like Coach Larkey managed to use the available resources to get cooperation and quality representation from each of the merging schools.

I must agree that it is a real nice staff, changing gears went by the school today and it really is looking nice the landscape is taking shape and the final cleanup is underway and it is just OTH (off the hook), the students are going to be in awe of this building and its resources.

This thread slowed a bit...let's talk personnel. What's the early word on Larkey's plan on type of offense and starting backfield?

Canady and Farmer will work with defense. Reynolds will help Larkey with the offense. Creech and Farmer are working with the JV. Morris is helping Caldwell with the freshmen.

They used to base out of a 5-3. If they run Coach's Saylor's scheme though, expect anything and everything.

I am hoping that they will run that win Offense. I seem to like it the best.

If what some are saying I think that first game @ Letcher will be a dandy. I would have to say that I think Harlan County will be the underdog because Letcher throws it all over the field.

Sounds like a great backfield.....but I hope a committment to full house sets dosen't make them completely one dimensional.

 

I think this team can make a run in 3A, but to contend with the likes of a Louisville Central of Belfry, they will have to have some balance on the offensive side of the ball.
