Watching Rowdy Roddy Piper tonight got me to wondering who was the best on the mic of all time.

 

I have left the poll open to multiple votes to not make it so hard to just choose one.

 

But if I had to choose just one, the Rock.

IMO, Piper wasn't that good on the mic tonight, and Vince was rumored to be upset with the Piper/Santino skit last week.

 

I would have to agree that The Rock has probably been the best that I've seen, but rivaled by Stone Cold. Other good mic-workers are Jericho, HHH, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Hogan, B.A. Billy Gunn and the Road Dogg Jesse James, Eric Bischoff, Vince McMahon, Santino (he's ridiculous, but good), Kennedy....probably more I can't think of right now.

IMO, its The Rock and its not even close.

I think Stone Cold is the best but I also always enjoyed Randy "Macho Man" Savage. OH Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best that most have never heard of is a guy by the name of RON WRIGHT, who used to wrestle in the late 60's and '70's out of the Knoxville area. He also did some work in Smoky Mountain Wrestling as a manager. The guy could make you cry with laughter. Check him out in a couple of classic short promos.

Tough one between The Rock and Stone Cold. I went with Stone Cold because the rebirth of wrestling really came when he started it up with "Austin 3:16" among other things. The Rock and the DX crew took it to another level though. What a great time the "Attitude" era was...

Thats tough because there are so many good ones.

Ric Flair is my favorite, but there's no denying The Rock, Stone Cold, HHH, Shawn Michaels, Roddy Piper, Michael PS Hayes, and many others. The mic skills are part of what makes the shows great. There's also no denying the announcers mic skills - good 'ole J.R. and The King.

I was going to say Hayes. He was so good when the Freebirds were around. Austin Idol was great. But I still think the Rock was the best of all time. He used make me cry I laughed so much. Let's don't forget Ms. Foley's baby boy. BANG !! BANG !!! Have a nice day.
