I'm an ardent Barack Obama supporter and would vote for him as president, but this might make a little sense:

I don't think Gore would take it, plus I think would offend plenty of Hillary and Obama supporters even more by giving it to a third party who wasn't even seeking the nomination.

The republicans are the weakest they've been in 20 years and he has a great chance to be president this year. Why throw it away? You never know what's going to happen so he should strike while the irons hot.

A cold, early winter would doom a Gore bid for the presidency. :lol:

 

Future historians will marvel at the fact that Bill Clinton managed to be elected twice with a huckster like Al Gore as his running mate. I would love to see Democrats throw Obama and Clinton under the bus and draft Gore as their nominee at a brokered convention. The result would make the McGovern candidacy look competitive in comparison.

I could really see this happening at the DNC, I have felt this for sometime. He would ride in like the Knight in shinning armour!

 

I personally think the democrat party is on the edge of self-destruction. I really really think Obama and Hillary will put the finishing touches on it.

 

Obama is not electable. I hate to say it but Hillary is right. She has won the key states that you have to have in the General Election.

 

Did anyone read what Sharpton said about if the Superdelegates give to Hillary at the DNC? They are going to take to the streets and not support the Dem. party. So what they are going to support the Republicans? (doubtful) Sounds like a threat to me but no intentions to support another party.

Gore couldn't beat Bush, don't think he could beat McCain either. The only thing he's good at is making a complete fool of himself.

I feel like, due to the fact that Bush is a Republican, all the top conservatives (although I don't know who) have decided not to run, and we have wound up with a not-so-conservative candidate. On the other hand, the Dems realize how easy it should be to beat an R and both Obama and Hilary are so anxious to become President and they don't want to miss out on this golden opportunity so they may be hurting their party.
