This is pretty bad ballclub at this point. With the Cubs looking like a 90+ game winner this year, the Reds may be effectively out of contention before May is over.

Yep. Pretty darn ugly. Patterson and Hairston had big time brain cramps.
Yeah, Dusty's a real stickler for baseball fundamentals. Ask Cubs fans about that ...

Runners getting picked off is Dusty's fault?

Yep, the way things are going now. Reds could be 10 games out before they get back home after this trip.

At least something was in the zone.

Runners getting picked off is Dusty's fault?
I didn't say it was. But Cubs teams made all sorts of silly mistakes like that in Dusty's tenure. Pretty fundamentally poor teams at times. And that has to reflect some on the manager.

I told you he was susceptible to the long ball, that's 6 now in 33 1/3 innings--over 1.5 longballs per nine. It could be a major concern when the weather gets warmer and the ball really starts jumping at GABP.

The HR was down, but Berkman turned on it and took it out right down the line. The pitches that hurt him were line drives to the gaps...

Surely nonoe of you guys really thought this was a 90 win club, really?

My prediction was 70-80, they could still win 70. Maybe.
