I think Kepp was at 1B that day...

I think you're right. was Javy down then? I'm just trying to figure out why some of these guys are on the roster. Is Hairston capable at short?

This means Hairston is a FIVE TOOL GUY!

I think it was a shake the lineup against a lefty move...

That's the foundation for his release. There are quite a few guys sitting home and making good money because of bad contracts...

Well in that case...I agree!:lol:

Anyone listening to the game? If you could, please post some updates. Don't have a radio in here. Thanks

Not a problem, already had plans to help out in that department. :thumb:

The grounds crew is out, water the infield, and starting to put out the new bases. Stay tuned. :p:D

I will be listening to as much as I can and will keep the update thread a rolling.

Hairston has always been a good second baseman ... he's a little stretched at shortstop. Probably similar to Keppinger.

I would say he probably fits into the same category as Keppinger defensively at that position.

We're on the same wavelength ...

Yep, there is a report that vendors may be selling beverages and food. I'm trying to get a decent 2nd source for that info. :p

Dusty's pre-game comments were spent talking about how important it is to keep the bullpen fresh and that the starters need to start going deeper in games. The bullpen won't be as effective if they continue to get put in games in the 4th and 5th innings.

I haven't heard info that groundbreaking since the Weather Channel told me to grab an umbrella on rainy days.

Pence a leadoff hit, thrown out at 2nd. Tejada a 2 out walk.

Berkman 2 run homer

Cueto fell behind Berkman and has now thrown over 20 pitches in the 1st. 2-0 Astros.

Go to the bottom of the 1st, 2-0 bad guys.

CP leads off with a bunt single.

Wild pitch, CP to 2nd.

Hairston ground out, CP to 3rd. 1 out.
