This is such a tragic loss. There are really no adequate words. It only makes it worse that this has happened to such a wonderful family. I didn't know Mitch; but his dad and my brother have been good friends since high school. I think God sometimes chooses his best people to bear his heaviest burdens.

 

It's hard to find meaning and purpose in something like this. That can only come with the perspective of time. But at least we can be comforted knowing that Mitch is safe now and at peace with The Lord.

OH! I'm SOOOO terribly sorry.

A very sad day for Fort Thomas and all of Kentucky. I know all of the boys and Highlands families are hurting. We'll miss you Mitch.

We are all crushed in spirit. We will pray for the Waldenmeyer family and the Highlands community. This is a great loss, especially to those who knew Mitch personally. We grieve with you during these difficult days ahead.

God bless Mitch, his family and his friends. Such a sad day.

God bless this young man's family. I cannot imagine what they are going through. To all my new buddies in Fort Thomas, we are praying for you guys here in Letcher County!

There is some comfort in knowing that Mitch is now in a better place. Heaven just gained an Angel.

I prayer that the bluebird family will be touched by God's hand and comfort them in this aweful time. I too have children around this age and could not even begin to imagine what that family is going through right now. Our thoughts and prayers from Brave country will be with the family and the Bluebirds as well.
