March 8, 200818 yr Author How about some of you lucky enough to get this big snow fall posting some pictures. My wife was taking pics earlier. I'll see if I can get her to download them, otherwise, I'm sure I'll have much more tomorrow when we add another 5 or so inches.
March 8, 200818 yr ...I'm sure I'll have much more tomorrow when we add another 5 or so inches.Same here.
March 8, 200818 yr It's been a steady cycle of freezing rain alternating with snow all day here in Bardstown. Had to thaw and scrape a pretty thick sheet of ice off my car before I could leave work at 6:30. Even better: I was supposed to do a draft today for a fantasy baseball money league I was joining for the first time this year. I get a call at 6:35 from one of the guys in the league wondering why I hadn't made the 25-mile trek to E'town. "The roads are crystal clear," he said. "They aren't here," I replied as the freezing rain drops down on my head while I scrape the ice off my windshield. He just couldn't understand why I didn't want to risk my life to do a fantasy draft.
March 8, 200818 yr So far my 5 am flight out of CVG is still scheduled, but I dunno. Haven't even started packing yet because I'm not so sure I'll need to. Grr I hate flying and this is making me a nervous wreck. As for the roads I thought they weren't bad at all from 25 near Florence to Independence just south of Simon Kenton. The runways are heated....and remember it's more important where and how you will be landing not taking off....if they let you off, you'll be fine.
March 8, 200818 yr Nothing better than a good variety of KY bourbon and Scotch and Irish whiskey... Yes please....is the crazy lady in good form tonight?
March 8, 200818 yr The runways are heated....and remember it's more important where and how you will be landing not taking off....if they let you off, you'll be fine. The biggest problem isn't at CVG itself. It's getting the equipment in from other, less well-equipped airports and getting the smaller destinations in good enough shape to accept landings.
March 8, 200818 yr So it is snowing/sleeting right now and all of a sudden I see a flash and then hear the thunder follow.
March 8, 200818 yr Yes please....is the crazy lady in good form tonight? Glenlivet 12 year, Odom 14 year, Redbreast 12 year and some Woodford. Yum. She's good so far. It's about that time, though...

March 8, 200818 yr I hate snow! I'm just hoping the 8 inches they said we're supposed to get overnight and tomorrow don't prevent me from going to Lexington tomorrow night.
March 8, 200818 yr Thunder, lightning, sleet, and snow in Mt. Sterling right now. What kind of storm is this anyway!?!?!?

All I've got is what's left of a gallon bottle of lower-middle grade vodka. Shoulda stopped at the liquor store and got whisky instead of the carryout for (back-up plan) beer. :irked:
