February 24, 200818 yr :thumb: If they lost their first game of the SECT, I'd be a little nervous for selection Sunday, but they should be in at 12-4. Its looking like that would put them 2nd overall in the conference. No way they get skipped while 3rd-5th place teams get in. As I have said, at that point you just don't know how heavy the bad L's would weigh. They'd be 18-12 with a 1st game SECT loss, and that would put them dangerously close to the cut line...
February 24, 200818 yr I tell you what Arkansas plays great perimeter defense, or alteast they did today. I mean we really never got a real clean look at all from the 3 point line today, and actually many times wasn't even able to get a 3 point shot off because of it. Luckily though we did a great job on the offensive glass and was able to get 2nd and 3rd chances at it.
February 24, 200818 yr When's the last time, besides this year, UK won a game with rebounding and free throw shooting?
February 24, 200818 yr Another great win for the Cats, their 9th SEC win which matches their total win output last season in the SEC.GO CATS beat Ole Miss.:dancingpa
February 24, 200818 yr So it was my first ever game at Rupp, but I was shocked at how loud the place was. It seemed like every 2 minutes the place went crazy. At the end of the game, I couldn't hear anything. Great great experience! The loudest it got though was when Johnny P was introduced. Aren't you a UK student?

February 24, 200818 yr You're right. Brain fart. It is however possible that UK could be 12-4 without a bye. If Vandy wins out, they'd also be 12-4, and I'm not certain what the tiebreaker would be from there. The teams respective divisional records.
February 24, 200818 yr Definitely close, but I can't see the 2nd place SEC team being left out. That's assuming that UK wins all their games and Vandy loses again. Vandy could also win out and a UK loss at UT makes it a tie. A UK loss to UT would have both teams with 3 losses in the East and I'm not sure of the 2nd tiebreaker.

A UK loss to UT would have both teams with 3 losses in the East and I'm not sure of the 2nd tiebreaker. The third tie break would be: Record vs the 1st place in the division and if was still tied then it would be record vs 2nd then 3rd and so on.If it played out like you stated with UK only losing one more to UT and Vandy winning out then it would have to go to a fourth tie breaker.Vandy and UK split. Vandy-UK-Florida will have all split.Vandy and UK will have swept S.Carolina and Georgia.

That puts UK at 12-4 (7-3 East) and Vandy at 11-5 (8-4 East).
February 24, 200818 yr I didn't expect them to get this win. I'm glad I was wrong and hopefully they keep it going against Ole Miss.
February 24, 200818 yr The fourth tie break would be record vs the West. Both Vandy and UK would be tied again at 5-1. The fifth tiebreak is record vs. the #1 team in the West, then if the tie remains, the #2 team, and so forth. If Vandy won out, they would've beaten Mississippi State and UK would have lost to them, giving Vandy the bye.
