January 23, 200818 yr When my ear hair needed trimming as often as my head hair. When I found out about my prostrate. When young ladies at the mall started looking at me with fear and revulsion rather than with interest. When I realized that I peaked at 16.
January 23, 200818 yr When I need my glasses to post anything on BGP,can't see the letters on the keyboard without them.
January 23, 200818 yr I'm misguided I guess. I'm not old; just wiser and seasoned. Personally I like the saying that age, experience and treachery beats youth and enthusiasm every time. :thumb:
January 23, 200818 yr When my dad started borrowing my CDs.That would do it. My little girl, at age 10, and I were watching an old Beetles clip on MTV and she asked me who those guys were singing with Paul McCartney. :irked: She's 32 now and back in the Will.
January 23, 200818 yr A few years back we were cleaning out the basement and found some old 33 1/3rds (My long lost Elvis Albums!) My kids didnt know what they were. I also figured it out recently when I complained that my children's music was too loud, but later had to turn the TV up until they complained IT was too loud.
January 23, 200818 yr Or are you under the misguided notion, you aren't. Here is what I posted in another thread. I figured out I was old when my team played Villa Madonna, a small Catholic high school and AC/DC was being used as the girls' team's warmup music. The music I was not allowed to listen to growing up was now being used by Catholic girls as warmup music. It wasn't Whole Lotta Rosie or Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap was it?
January 23, 200818 yr I discovered I was old a couple of years ago when a song came on the radio in my car. My daughter said, "That's ancient stuff dad." "Nonsense honey," I told her, "It was only ............................... (I started doing the math back to 1975) 30 YEARS AGO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" That's when I knew it wasn't good. It's not a long time until you add it up.
January 23, 200818 yr When the young lady at McDonald's gave me my cup of coffee and said this is your AARP complimentary cup of coffee. I just smiled and walked away------------------------MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:madman: That happened to me last year. The girl at Bojangles gave me an automatic Senior Citizen's Discount. Of course, I didn't go back and give her the appropriate change, but I was ticked nontheless.

That's what I mean when I talk about bad parenting. My kids know who the Beatles are!! (After I made them watch VH-1 documentaries until they memorized them) True story. In 2003 I took my whole family to see the Eagles. My then 6 year old daughter sang almost every song with them. People were amazed that my young daughter knew all those lyrics. I told them it was required to memorize Hotel California right after they knew Jesus Loves Me.
January 24, 200818 yr 1. When I realized all of my preset stations on my car stereo were on the AM side. 2. HSSRB and I played in a b-ball league. One college aged boy we know referred to HSSRB by his first name but called me "Mr......" Ouch.
