OSU has worn out their welcome. They MUST go undefeated to be invited back to a title game. JMHO

And I'm going to say that you that you should thank your lucky stars that OSU is not in the SEC. OSU in the SEC this year would have meant a middle of the pack finish at best. OSU goes down this year and last as the title pretenders not contenders and it would be a shame if they wind up at #2 in the polls after getting man handled in this game and playing a schedule that is oh so weak

Im not a fan of OSU, i was just simply saying that i dont think UK is better than OSU.

Dont be bitter because they beat your cinnamonoles.:flame:

Now....anyone who knew LSURock, knew this was going to happen...

ROCKS, TIGERS (LSU) = CHAMPS

Pretty much the only thing that made me care about this game. :thumb:

I really don't understand how people are brainwashed into believeing other conferences are better than the SEC.

I said this tonight, and I'll say it til I see otherwise, the SEC should more thank likely have someone in the NAT'L TITLE GAME EVER YEAR!!!!

If they don't it's because of a flawed system. Notice I said almost every year, their are those exceptions, but let's be real here folks.

Much like I don't understand the conference chest thumping when it isn't your team that won.

But I already have another thread on that. :D

All kidding aside can you really expect fans of the Big 10 with their dominance they have had over the years to bow down to the SEC? Michigan and Ohio State, while not as dominant recently as some SEC teams, have histories rivalled by few schools in any conference. You must be drinking some powerful Kool-Aid if you think they are going to begin to prostrate themselves of any fan of the SEC.

Top to bottom there is no doubt that the SEC is the toughest conference. I think there were teams that could have given LSU a game if not beaten them yesterday. USC or WVA would have been an interesting matchup for the Tigers. As it is with the flawed system that is the BCS we never really get a chance to see how these things would play out with a playoff.

Let it be known by the way that I am no fan of any conference specifically, I pull for specific teams for my own reasons. I am not defending the Big 10 at all. In fact I rather dislike all of the Big 10.

Actually the story is that OSU didn't belong because of the teams... or lack of teams that they beat.

I dont buy the "we took care of business all year long" argument. OSU beat decent, at best teams all year long and once again it showed.

Nice avatar, Habib! :ylsuper:

Really bad coaching from the OSU sidelines tonight. When LSU started selling out on D they refused to use Wells, and on D they were fooled almost every time LSU went in to an unbalanced formation...

I thought that Ohio St. had a good game plan to start the game offensively by throwing on first down and then running Wells.....but they seem to get quite predictable as time went on.

They made some good defensive adjustments at the half(although they still have not found LSU's TE's), but they needed to do something different in the first half before they got down so far.

Newarkcathlicfan, I have been working all evening on this meal for you, enjoy.

I work in Ohio and there are three Suckeye fans that talked smack all day in the office yesterday, they called in sick this morning. :sssh:

FAU, Vandy and Louisville are not quality wins. UK lost to Mississipi St.

OSU defeated Penn St on the road, Michigan on the road and beat Wisconsin at home. OSU lost to Illinois and LSU.

So im gonna say UK is not better than OSU

That's fine and dandy if you feel that way you have the right too. To act like there isn't a snowballs chance that UK is better is pretty arrogant. They did physically whip the team that physically whipped OSU last night! I'll be the first to give credit to OSU and their program. IMO they vastly overachieved this year and I tip my hat too them for it. They weren't supposed to be this good this year. The problem is some OSU folks pound their chest and think because they are OSU they are automatically better. I got news for you when you play Florida, LSU, Tenn, Georgia week in week out then OSU doesn't look very scary at all! OSU got whipped physically by LSU, they got embarresed when they played Florida. KY beat LSU, played Florida within 8, went to 4 OT's with Tenn and was in the Georgia game only to lose by 11 I think it was. I'd love to put the pads on and play OSU! Do you really think OSU is better than LSU,Fla,Tenn+Geo and KY by a lot? If OSU gets down then it's over! They can't play catchup!

OSU has a proud tradition but so did Florida State:)

A few comments about the game...

I was actually impressed with OSU. I know many will disagree, but they played about as good as they could (with the exception of the personal foul penalties). Most objective people knew that OSU's vaunted defense was inflated with a weak Big 10 this season, it was not really a shock LSU nearly put up 40. I thought Tressel did about all he could in this one. He is still a top 3 coach in college football. OSU returns most, I am excited about OSU vs. USC next season. I would not be suprised to see them return to this game next season.

LSU outmanned OSU at nearly every position, especially with experience, and it showed. LSU had a 2 quarter stretch when the playcalling was magnificent. If #90 would have been eligible during the regular season, LSU would have gone undefeated. Dorsey is heading to the Dolphins. Even Herbstreit made note of the speed difference as LSU was able to go man all night. Only time they got beat, the OSU receiver dropped the pass.

Much like I don't understand the conference chest thumping when it isn't your team that won.

But I already have another thread on that. :D

It isn't just the teams that didn't get there. Did you hear LSU's players chanting SEC after the game. The teams in the conference, even bitter rivals , root for the other teams when they play other conferences. I watched the game last night in a bar in Atlanta with a few LSU fans, a few OSU fans and a bunch of UGA fans. To a man the UGA fans clapped and cheered everytime LSU did something of note. You would think that UGA would be a little bit upset that they weren't in the Title Game and might root for OSU to prove that they should have been there but they didn't. The SEC is the toughest conference in the country and their is a pride of belonging that I don't think you see in the other conferences.

I wish I could think of his name, but a player for the Buckeyes said he was rooting for Michigan a few days ago in promotion of the Big 10.
