It isn't just the teams that didn't get there. Did you hear LSU's players chanting SEC after the game. The teams in the conference, even bitter rivals , root for the other teams when they play other conferences. I watched the game last night in a bar in Atlanta with a few LSU fans, a few OSU fans and a bunch of UGA fans. To a man the UGA fans clapped and cheered everytime LSU did something of note. You would think that UGA would be a little bit upset that they weren't in the Title Game and might root for OSU to prove that they should have been there but they didn't. The SEC is the toughest conference in the country and their is a pride of belonging that I don't think you see in the other conferences.

 

 

I have seen it in the fans of other conferences so don't go saying that it is SEC exclusive. Besides if you want to discuss this further I already posted a link to a thread about it. I was just making a plug more or less to get more opinions on so I can understand that mentality better.

Much better game than last year at least. I didn't take any naps during the NC this year. The announcers were saying that OSU has a good chance of making it back to the NC next year. However, they didn't mention who the team that beats them will be. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Seriously, even though I didn't think OSU should have been playing in this game, they gave a good effort tonight.

The better team won last night. I'm an OSU fan an wanted the Buckeyes to win but didn't expect them to. Did OSU deserve to be there? According to the current system yes they did. At the beginning of the season no one expected Ohio State to win the Big 10 let alone get into the NC game. It was a great year for the Bucks and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them in the NC game next season if they can beat USC and win the conference. The better team won last night.

OK, LSU is the National Champion, according to the current system. The current system rewards an entire season and not just a game or two at the end of the season. So yes, LSU is the best team of 2007.

WOW...all I can say is that after all the trash talking Buzzer Beater did about how OSU was going to beat LSU and how the SEC was overrated I am surprised he hasn't shown up in this thread. I mean really, if you're going to dish it out you might as well take it too! :lol:

Its a shame that a spot in the national championship game was awarded to OSU. We really need a system that can actually get the 2 best teams playing for the title. I think UGA, USC, Kansas, Missouri, and WVU would have beaten OSU last night.

But the BCS said they did and thats all that matters.

I'm sorry but if you don't win your division in your own conference then you don't belong in the NC game. UGA didn't win the SEC East so sorry about their luck. OSU deserved to be in b/c they did everything they were supposed to do. If the SEC would drop the conference championship game maybe UGA would have been in, but then again maybe not.
