January 8, 200818 yr Much better game than last year at least. I didn't take any naps during the NC this year. The announcers were saying that OSU has a good chance of making it back to the NC next year. However, they didn't mention who the team that beats them will be. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Seriously, even though I didn't think OSU should have been playing in this game, they gave a good effort tonight.
January 8, 200818 yr Another disappointing loss in the BCS championship. The Buckeyes should be even better next year, but I'm afraid the Buckeyes will have a long way ago before they can earn back the respect for themselves and the Big 10 as far as being a BCS championship caliber team.
January 8, 200818 yr I think all of them say it. Eyes like a hawk GT says its technically right but still I would think it would be 2008.
January 8, 200818 yr Congrats to LSU on Winning the National Championship:thumb: LSU beat the Buckeyes not with speed but by being more physical on both sides of the ball and better execution of their game plan. The Tigers had excellent ball control and got a great game by it's O line and QB Matt Flynn. Hats off to B. Wells who once again proved he is one of the best RB's in the NCAA.. I also thought he should have got the ball more. Nice job by former Raceland Ram standout Aaron Pettrey as he had 2-3 of his kickoffs go into the endzone for touchbacks. I wish Aaron the best and hope he is able to get healthy in the off season and regain his FG & PAT's job. No excuses from this Buckeye fan as the better team won tonight. :thumb::thumb::thumb: Good post!!!

Well said, but Pettrey had 3 for 4 kickoffs for touchbacks. Excellent performance for Pettrey, he still has two years left before he starts his NFL career.
January 8, 200818 yr On the bright side maybe the media will give other teams a little more love. And we won't have to watch an OSU team with a trumped up record against a weak schedule get soundly thrashed every year in the title game

January 8, 200818 yr On the bright side maybe the media will give other teams a little more love. And we won't have to watch an OSU team with a trumped up record against a weak schedule get soundly thrashed every year in the title game Well the Buckeyes have to play at USC and also play Illinois on the road. If they can go undefeated against that schedule I think they deserve another shot no matter how bad they've played in the championship game the last two years. I don't think you'll see a one loss Buckeye team make it next year though.

The big question for the Buckeyes will be how many of the players will return and not go into the draft. Also, I think OSU will have to go undefeated next year to get an invitation to next years Championship game.
