LSU 38 OSU 24

Featured Replies

Maybe they should have let Hawaii play tonight instead of the Bucs, the Rainbow Warriors did just about as good against a = good Georgia bunch. OSU must have nightmares about the SEC. Atleast when they wake they are glad to be in the B10

Here is this Buckeye fan (and always will be) :D.

Kudos to LSU on winning the national title. IMO the Buckeyes sealed their own fate with uncharactaristic personal foul penalties. 5 in all I believe. Just stupid penalties that OSU usually does not make. Special teams were another let down, a blocked FG and a roughing the punter penalty, OSU special teams are usually much better than they showed tonight.

I honestly believed that the Buckeyes would win this one but....LSU deserved the win, no doubt about it.

When I get to thinking about it, OSU was really a year ahead of schedule on making it back to this game. Everyone thought that next season would be the year to return and next year just may see the Buckeyes back. With only 3 senior starters and depending on how many and who goes to the NFL I believe that tOSU has as good as shot as anyone to be back next season. Only USC as a better win % over the last 6 years I believe, 3 national championship games in 6 years speaks pretty highly of a program imo, as always.....Go Bucks!!! I do know that there were 117 teams that would had loved to be in this game and they weren't and a lot of the posters(OSU haters) on here are fans of those teams that were sitting at home watching.;)

That talk is for next season though. No excusues form this Buckeye fan, we flat got whipped tonight.

Congrats again to LSU on the championship and their 2nd BCS title (they certainly deserved it) and if anyone on BGP is a true LSU fan and not just an OSU hater then congrats to you as well. :thumb:

Props OR...

How can you say LSU has the better team, then claim that Tressel chokes? It doesn't work both ways.

Congrats to LSU on Winning the National Championship:thumb:

LSU beat the Buckeyes not with speed but by being more physical on both sides of the ball and better execution of their game plan.

The Tigers had excellent ball control and got a great game by it's O line and QB Matt Flynn.

Hats off to B. Wells who once again proved he is one of the best RB's in the NCAA.. I also thought he should have got the ball more.

Nice job by former Raceland Ram standout Aaron Pettrey as he had 3-4 of his kickoffs go into the endzone for touchbacks. I wish Aaron the best and hope he is able to get healthy in the off season and regain his FG & PAT's job.

No excuses from this Buckeye fan as the better team won tonight.

:thumb: Great post cville, especially about our hometown Raceland, Ky. kid - kicker Aaron Pettry!!

Being facetious....

With the system being what it is and the Buckeyes taking care of business regardless of their schedule, I feel they deserved to play in tonights game.

OSU did all season what many other teams in the country could not and did not do but I understand what you are saying.

The Big 10 doesn't want a playoff, or plus one, so says Kirk Herbstriet and Todd Blackledge....

I agree...take your chances like they did this year...weak non-con schedule and an average conference...

I think there was something wrong with t.v. Any time LSU had the ball, I was seeing a giant red seive. Did anyone else notice this, or is it time I got a new t.v.??????

:thumb: Thanks. Aaron is a great kid who absolutely has worked his tail off to come back from his injury and get the chance to play in the BCS Championship game. I am sure there is no one more disappointed in the loss than Aaron.

Aaron has represented our community with class and I wish him nothing but the best. He has made all of Raceland Proud!!!!!!!!!

Is Ohio State officially The Runner Up University now?

:thumb: Absolutely correct, no apologies for being in the title game. OSU took care of business and others did not. End of story.

There will never be a playoff system.Well, maybe never is a little harsh as I learned a long time ago to never say never. The truth is........

It is all about the almighty $.

With 7 national Titles and a coach that has won 5 NC's including his 1AA days I don't think so......:D

Playoff should have been Georgia/USC vs winner of LSU/tO$U.

Probably been a all SEC Title game and other schools do not want that...........

Well, at least they can beat Michigan. Plus, I think they give a good beating to several in state schools!!
