Michigan 41 Florida 35

Featured Replies

Ron English really tured the D loose with the blitzing he put on Tebow. He needed to do that more during the season

Yep. They really looked like a different team today than the team I watched earlier this year. I did like to see Lloyd Carr go out in that manner.

I'm happy for Coach Carr. A classy man goes out a winner.

I'm extremely happy with this result!!! Go Michigan!

Michigan should have won by about 21.

Glad I got off work to catch the latter part of this one.

Michigan was the better team today, my hat is off to them and to Coach Carr.Great game.:thumb:

And the mighty Gators of the mighty SEC, fall...to who else???? a Big 10 team??? WHAT????????????? I didn't think that could ever happen, especially to Florida.

I didn't do my homework for this one, I didn't know that Michigan actually does REALLY WELL against the SEC. I just figured since OSU sucks against the SEC, then UM probably would to. However I was wrong, UM actually knows how to play with these SEC guys...

UM played a great game today. I mean they still gave up 35 points on defense, however I still say their defense played great and had a great game plan. The on offense, their offense actually played like everyone thought they were going to all year. I was rooting for Florida, however it was nice to see Lloyd Carr go out with a win like he did, and get carried by his players...

UMs Oline was just dominate. Bengals: move up to get 77.

Umm where exactly would you want to play him?

D line too. They got the Tebow all day long.

Great to see Coach Carr go out the way he did.

The guy is nothing but class.

Great to see Brandent Englemon, Covington Holmes grad, get bowl W.

Not many know but he was voted as best defensive back for UM this year.

I really havent watched UM much this year, but they seemed to really open things up today....did they do anything different today offensively than they traditionally do?

I didn't get to see much of this game....

Left Tackle; different thread though.

You, like many in this pro SEC forum, made the mistake of confusing one game as a representative of an entire conference.

My thoughts on the game:

Michigan tried their best to keep Florida in the game. 2 fumbles inside the 5 and an unnecessary trick play led to 3 turnovers that likely took points off the board.

Percy Harvin is the real deal. Tim Tebow is not. I was not at all impressed with Tebow's throwing ability, or his decision making under pressure.

Lies. All lies. In reference to the "plodding, ogre like" speed of the Big 10 vs. the "cat-like agility" and "super sonic speed" of the SEC. For UF, Harvin DID live up to that claim. But that's it. And if UF had some superior speed or athletic advantage on defense, I sure didn't see it today.

Couldn't be happier for Carr, Henne, Hart, Long, Englemon, and all of the other UM seniors.

That being said, WHERE THE HECK WAS THIS ALL YEAR?? In the Shotgun for 90% of the game? Empty backfield on numerous occasions? For those who haven't watched UM much this year, this was a clear departure from the "zone left, zone left, zone right" offense that UM ran most of the year.

Anyone still think that UM can't run the spread offense?
