A draft is being reviewed of the Mitchell Report, to ensure it doesn't violate any current agreements, between Labor Unions and MLB.

 

It will likely name several current and former players, plus some other eye opening information, related to illegal substances and enhancements.

I believe there will also be a Press Conference and once made public, this may shake the very foundation of Major League Baseball, as we know it today.

 

Hopefully players will take heed and bring back the integrity of the game.

Greenberg made a good point it that he is interested what the report finds in regards to the empty suits of the sport knew about the roids.

I saw on ESPN that it could include 60-80 past and present names. Yet, I'm sure Bonds will be public enemy #1.

I hope this gets to come out. This could be the biggest event in baseball history, for the negative.

Maybe going to the ballpark will actually be affordable after the fans tell them to kiss off:)

All these free agents better sign their huge contracts this year. When their name hits this list, their market value will plummet...

 

Maybe the Reds will wait to make their move next year and 'steal' someone...

Steroid probe expected to name dozens of players

 

NEW YORK (AFP) - A report on steroids in Major League Baseball is expected to contain the names of 50 or more current and retired players who are linked to performance-enhancing drugs, the New York Times said Wednesday.

On one of the talk shows they were talking about who they hoped would show up on the list. It ranged from Bonds to Clemmons to Jeter. It's going to be interesting that's for sure. What is even more exciting is to see what happens when the playing field levels again because people will be thinking twice about roiding.

I can't wait to see this list!

I'll be watching, but I'm not waiting. It'll be a history maker, that's no doubt. And, I'm all for cleaning the sport up. It just seems that there are those people out there that want to see the sport to have that history changing scandal to make it fade away. The NHL had that a couple of years ago. I can feel the pain that these fans have had. I'm sure that baseball will bounce back. And it may take it a while.

 

Once this comes out, I'll be waiting to see what other sports are on the list to be called out. I think I'll be waiting an eternity.

I believe that the Ol Commish wanted answers, and hired Mitchell. Why Mitchell is a mystery.

 

The names were gathered from client lists from illegal companies that supplied and sold HGH and/or steroids.

I heard on a few talk shows that this is nothing more than window dressing meaning it means nothing at all mainly because a person involved with baseball did the report. What a joke but then again we are talking about baseball.

I will be SHOCKED if Albert Pujols isn't named in the Mitchell Report. Flat out shocked.

My other potential head-scratcher...work with me here:

 

* All accounts were Kerry Wood was going to sign an $8 million deal with BoSox to be Papelbon's set-up man.

 

* Sen. George Mitchell has a share of ownership with said BoSox.

 

* Kerry Wood re-signs for $5 million with Cubbies.

 

I won't be surprised to see Kerry Wood's name in the report and then some accusations raised because Mitchell (being paid 10's of millions of dollars for this) swore nothing would leak out to his Red Sox partners.

 

Just a theory...
